This was once a great company, how did we get to this point?

 

How did we get here? We got here because the aussies don't understand the americans, and the americans don't want to do any actual work. Directives from the Ivory Tower in AUS just get laughed at and delayed/deferred to extinction. Granted, those directorates coming from the Ivory Tower are BAD ideas, but still...

 

DB was let go because he was incompetent plain and simple. He has no concept of strategy or basic business principles. Nice enough guy, but not every nice guy can run a company.

 

We need leadership now more than ever. Heard that it will be someone from inside the company. Any truth to this?

 

You already have a so called great leader! He never leaves his house or makes any Sales calls in the field. Has all of management fooled!

Why yes, TL is gone. This company has forgotten that it is a "sales" driven company. What's the old quote about "insanity"....doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!! Sr VP of Sales/Marketing gone, too. Having MD's and Phd's as regional Presidents is like having a terrorist flying your plane....they have enough knowledge to fly it in to a building or ground. Until this company finds a true "sales driven" CEO, tougher times await. As far as North America, all divisions have seen huge attrition numbers of top reps. If you aren't making money and it's a shitty place to work, there's no reason to stay and good reps have been run off by these PhD, narcissist, no real clue of the lab sales environment dictators called Presidents, both at the national level and at the labs under the Sonic umbrella. When you have the winner of the VP of sales not invited to the annual awards trip, that, in and of itself says it all!!!!!
