    They have to be cautious and are much more likely to offer a payout to be rid of the legacy Zeneca people who are pension eligible. They are trying to avoid an age discrimination lawsuit by moving slowly but make no mistake, they are coming after you if you eventually. They want these pension liabilities off of their books.

    Question...they are no longer contributing to pensions. Why would they want to get rid of them still?

    You are confusing two different insurance plans. 1.) Pre Medicare Eligible Insurance (under 65) This is what has changed and if you do not meet the 10yr service AND 55 age requirement by 2020 you will not be able to purchase and/or purchase medical insurance with an AZ subsidy. 2.) Medicare Eligible (65+) Employees that are medicare eligible receive a one time $25K AZ contribution.
