Suit or Scrubs

Simple question, do the device reps work in the OR at all or mainly in another area of in the hospital?

If not in the OR do reps still wear scrubs mostly?

 

Simple question gets simple answer! If you have to ask that question you probably aren't cutout for this position. Secondly who gives a sh*t if you were a dorky suit or dorky scrubs. What you need to do is pull yourself up by your boot straps and ask yourself if you are a winner and could you sell your way out of a wet paper bag. If so if you quit your pettiness this might be the right job for you. Also do you mind working 17 hour days? NOw go do some soul searching and get back with me.

 

And this is important...WHY?

scrubs are awesome save saves you money on dry cleaning, . Who cares what you wear , just get the job done

I am the simple question gets simple anser person. After reflecting on what I wrote I can't believe what I said to that young man or woman with very serious questions. You deserved a better answer so I will let the others on the site answer the question. You are going to do great at this company and if you need a reference I am here for you. I am a superstar and top performer and I get the job done and am well respected. If you get the job I will do everything in my power to make you successful. So get the job and wear whatever you want to because you are a winner.

Why in the world would you wear scrubs if you are not in the OR, between cases or, at the very least, somehow in contact with patients in a service orientation?!? These are the reps that we laugh at... the wannabe OR/surgical reps.

 

That's probably just a matter of opinion. Some doctors that see sales reps in suits think that they are TOTAL knobs! I could care less what anyone else wears. A suit works for me..but quite frankly...I don't need my Armani or Calvin Klein suits being exposed to all the SHIT that is in a hospital! MANY other people in the hospital wear scrubs. What makes you above everyone else that you SHOULD be wearing a suit instead of scrubs. GO away loser and sell some product and stop worrying about what everyone else wears. I hope to God that you're a woman...because if you're a man you name should be "NANCY" to be worrying about such petty shit.

 

I wear scrubs everyday for a few different reasons.

If you knew your shit, you would realize that sometimes you go to a hospital hoping and waiting to get in on a case...best to be prepared and dressed appropriately.

Another reason is that scrubs give you the ability to walk around in facilities without being questioned about why you are there...you look like everyone else so everyone just assumes you should be there and leaves you alone.

The reps wearing suits in the hospitals pulling their wheelie bags look like every other sleazy rep on the planet. I do everything NOT to look like a rep.

 

And the device reps wearing scrubs and a company badge, which if YOU knew your shit, is required in just about all hospitals/surgery centers these days, pulling their wheelie carts filled with instruments DON'T look like "reps"?!?

 

Please pull yourself up by your boot straps and get back to kindergarten spelling challenges.. You spelled "were a dorky suit" instead of "wear a dorky suit." Impressive. Since when do KC reps work 17 hour days?

 

Look I understand that, but all I am saying is that it is much easier to blend in wearing scrubs than a suit.

 

I'm with you brother! I am NEVER stopped or bothered in scrubs. I just walk all over! I've been stopped in some hospitals. This guy that has shit to say about scrubs has way too much time on his hands. Get over it "Gloria" Vanderbilt!

You still look like a REP dumbass, which was the point of the post, NOT whether anyone bothered you in the hospital. And here's a tip, if you pony up the $300 and register in the rep tracking system which just about all hospitals are using (and any rep that is ACTUALLY working in the hospital on a regular basis does this), you don't have to walk around with your head hung low like some loser. Idiot.
