Conference call Monday. No content in email invite. Target lists are DOA. The new nebulizer is a no go. Can't imagine it's good news?

Numbers almost non existent nation wide. Call metrics pushed on team, lunches pushed. Last minute conference call notice with no details. Contract will be cancelled today.

If they are upset because scripts arent coming in, they should fix what they already did (call lists, back orderedc promotional items, nonworking Seismic, etc) before they add yet another requirement like Speaker Programs!! This is a lot of admin time for solo flex reps in a very large territory. I dont know how I will fit it all in 24 hours. My territory is about 4 hours from end to end.

the end is near! This is all a last ditch effort to try and keep the co tract going a little longer in hopes that something will suddenly happen. They are throwing every "home office based" answer at low numbers. More lunches, more calls, more training, more ride along coaching, pressure, speaker programs, spend more money, etc. justify more time spent in field as that you will get paid when it comes bonus time. I think I will take my training bonus and get out and get a jump on the rest of us trying to find our next gig.

The end is not near. We are going to a launch so we are good for another 8+ months. In the scheme of things, this isn't a bad contract. Just go to your offices and then call it a day.

So fellow swamp mates, is anyone actually bothering to try and sell UTIBRON anymore? I get blank stares whenever I bring it up, and no one even wants any samples!

I dont even know how to spell or pronounce it. I just wave the box at a nurse, and they either nod yes or no for samples :) It's great, I call it the robo-detail!

My DM told me off the record to forget about UTIBRON. Anyone else?

Just play the game and hope we are retained for the nebulizer launch.

I can easily go weeks without a single signature because I have so many no-see targets they refuse to remove from my list. The few docs who will see me refuse to accept more samples in their overflowing bins. As a part time rep in a giant territory, I need to use the time spent running all around for useless literature drops (to make metrics) for all of the administrative tasks I now have. Management seems to forget that some of us are not paid for a full 40 hour week. And now they are saying Sunovion will get paid on the universe, including our targets, but we don't.

Why do you stay in such a stupid "not going anywhere" business. Having been a rep and a DM I can tell you to get out. No future . . .

I have tried to get out several times but after having been in for 20 years, I am kind of trapped. I have even gone back to get a different degree but cannot get an interview for any jobs other than pharma. I'm not complaining about the industry per se, but it is hard to stay motivated when I can't even see or sample anyone in an entire week. I actually like Sunovion's culture but I think it would be a good idea to give us something established in our bag to get us time with a provider to talk about the new stuff. Even low decile pulmonologists would be helpful since specialists are easier to get in to see. Hopefully they will heed the suggestions that come out of the consulting group's launch feedback data. I just need 8 more years of a paycheck. And they also need to remember when they keep adding responsibilities that they are dealing with a hybrid salesforce. Some are full time, some are 2 up and some are 1 up flex. We can't all accomplish the same tasks in our given time allotment.

Sunovion & PDI have no idea how to effectively utilize the CSOs. They keep giving us bottom feeder targets while the Sunovion reps are too over stretched now that they are paid on dirt to actually call on the quality IM targets. They need to blow up these $hitty target lists and start over with a decent list in October. If they want the Sunovion reps to keep the specialists, no problem, just give me a list that makes it possible to meet the metric & conduct quality calls instead of one doc here, one doc there, 75 miles apart, baby catchers, pediatric allergists, dead, retired, haven't seen reps in their office for 10 years...stop blaming the reps and asking us to "dig deep" & "bend the trend". Bending the trend needs to start at the top. If the elephant in the room remains unaddressed, expect mass exodus before long (clinical educators are already bailing!) We are not flex reps to win awards or make a career out of this. Most of us are good at what we do and choose to do it part time because we value the flexibility of our time. Hire full time reps if that's what's needed and give them the pay & benefits to go along with the headaches of POAs, speaker programs, multiple out of town meetings. Thing is, I like Sunovion as a company. It's just time for a major course correction or this contract will be a bust when it could help significantly if we could actually support the Sunovion reps efforts instead of operating in a silo.
