once a loser always a loser

  2. They quit all activity in UK, Poland and Germany.
    All people there were fired.
    Bad Karma for Sweden Martina...

They are probably shutting down operations in U.S. By third quarter. Poor results thus far.

There is only 1 reason you will bash this company - and that is because you work for a competitor implant company and don't like the fact that this product is now being sold in the USA. Some of the childish comments on here ruin what this thread is supposed to be about.
Sweden and Martina makes an excellent quality impant and I have not seen any issues with any patients so far. It is half the price of what I was paying for Straumann and I have done enough research to know that the science to back this system up is proven. What I have seen are problems with Implant Direct and the abutments not seating properly and I have had several Astra implants blow out when being torqued down. I haven't had any problems with Straumann but the price tag is the highest in my area. I'm also not too happy that Straumann just purchased 2 lower level implant companies targeted towards my referring doctors to place their own implants. You might not like what I have to say, but until I have a problem with my Sweden and Martina implants I can't see any reason to discredit them.

If you're a "real" Doctor on a sales rep site, I believe you ARE placing imPANTS and should be spanked by a Swedish masseuse named Helga. Formally known as Hank.

Nice attempt to act like a surgeon, but you are clearly just a rep.

Yes , They are leaving territories open without reps to help restore the implants that have been placed. Doctors are talking all over the U.S. Don't let your doctors place any more implants in the states are they will be left without help or abutments. Because this implant is not compatible with any other system and doesn't have a large enough base to warrant a knock-off the patients and doctors will be left out in the cold. They did the same in other countries. Without warning people were left without jobs or any way to finish what the started. Implant companies when going into other countries must be realistic in their expectations. It takes years to see a return on their investment it took Hiossen nearly 5 years to start holding their own in the U.S. Hiossen was smart they brought in their own reps and managers from Korea. Then they hired reps here who didn't have any connections in dentistry and used them to recruit GPs to their basic implant courses, therefore, creating their own client. During the courses, they told the reps talk to your doctors create a bond that no one can break. After the course, the doctor would buy from this rep who they had a built relationship. The rep would get an introduction to the specialist through the GP. Most of the GPs placed simple implants and still referred out larger cases so the specialists were then switching to Hiossen. Hiossen did burn through reps but they were immediately replaced and as long as the doctor's needs were taken care of they were mostly fine with the situation. But Sweden and Martina went with well-liked reps who had connections and relationships with doctors as well as other reps in the industry. So when the doctors saw their hard working well-liked rep lose their jobs all they can think is if they can't do it no one can. And they realised that this company did not care about the rep or the doctor but instant profit. I don't think they will be hiring more reps in the US but if you receive a phone call from them before you take a job with them reach out to former employees on LinkedIn and get their side of the story. It is a shame that this company didn't think this expansion through on the best way to tackle this very large market. Watching and learning from other companies who have made the leap and are having successes/failures. I know how I would have approached this market and I most certainly not done it the way they did it unless I was planning on shelling out 20 million before seeing any profit. As the old adage goes "keep it simple stupid". I do think it is a good system and it offers a lot of options for placement and restoration. Not crazy about the M.I.S.E. kit I think there are better options out there. But the R&D department is very responsive to suggestions which is nice.

Companies like Dio are trying to enter the market and they will do well if they first go after the Hiossen doctors. It is a nice system at a fraction of what Hiossen prices are without compromising the quality- grade 4 titanium. I would enter in the states with a large Korean population first then go from there once established some good KOLs and base clients open up other territories.

Leone is going in through classes in the D.R. it will take a while and a lot of money to see a return but they are able to establish accounts all over without having to put full-time reps in territories. One rep may cover 5 states and they can make their rounds to the cities where they have clients every 6 weeks. While they are there they make cold calls to the other doctors in the area name dropping why they are there and who is using their system. Slowing growing the territories without having to invest in a lot of reps.

Adin Implants same strategy is the same Dio but going after the MIS doctors starting in the New York and California markets mostly looking for doctors who don't have any relationships with reps just looking for the best bottom line.

Neodent is building on that they are owned by Straumann and doctors know If the Neodent rep disappears they can alway get ahold of a Straumann rep and that rep will fix the problem to save their relationship with the doctor. They have started hiring reps who have worked in the territories for some while and have relationships with the doctors.

Needless to say, there are many companies trying entering the market. Sweden and Martina started out with a good idea and they should have built on it. Used the good/well-like reps to continue to build up the company in their area and at tradeshows. Stick with these reps they had to take a chance to go with you (an unknown company) in hopes that S&M would do the right thing by the reps and their doctors. And you have to trust that they are doing everything they can to keep you in the US market to keep their jobs. This trust was broken when you terminated the reps despite their best efforts. Karma may play a part in their demise but mostly bad business decisions.

The guy who owns the restaurant down the street moved here from Italy and his brother is a big time dentist in Italy (who not only places implants but makes his own label). I asked him to ask his brother what he thought of Sweden and Martina. A couple of weeks later he showed me the email. His brother had to look them up online he was unaware that they made implants but know about the endodontics. He said but he wasn't surprised because everyone makes implants. In a country the size of Florida, there are over 400 implant companies. Including my restauranteur's brother LOL.

The reps spend a lot of time on Facebook putting up Sweden and Martina infomercials. They do the same thing on Linked In while searching for a new job.

    Hi "Doctor",
Nobody it is questioning Sweden&Martina implants or science here... just talking about the way they behave with their staff.
Unfortunately I felt into their trap and I underwent a very bad result after a hard working exciting period.
    COMPANY= 10
MANAGEMENT= 10 (they are very profitable in Italy and Spain).
    EXPORT BUSINESS = going nowhere
    Cheers

Its funny that you guys are not offering a 3 to 1 replacement on other systems. We just move in and dump your systems, no matter who you are, direct knock offs are the future, cheap, reliable and simple to steel your business. nobel, strauman, astra, etc etc, just stupid business plans, its a screw, implant direct is the place to be!

You would think that S&M would do background checks on their reps.
