The Deal with Purdue struck out of Desperation

Think about all the litigation Purdue has been through over the past 10 years not to mention the $700+M they paid to the G'vt for aggressive marketing. Now ask the question again.

 

I've thought about it and still don't get it. Maybe I don't understand the agreement. It said something about waiving exclusivity, which I interpret as we won't take you to court for intellectual property infringement if you don't take us to court for the same thing.

Purdue just handed over $10 mill for what gain? I don't get it. Unless they felt their abuse-deterrent platform had some intellectual property weaknesses.

The one thing to keep in mind about Purdue is they don't give a damn about past litigation. They don't. They just don't.
