Insurances are not covering anything brand. Forget about FDA approval and additional indications. No insurance / PBM coverage = it's over. Pharmacies avoiding branded drugs as much as possible. Even the few branded meds that are currently covered are not worth the reimbursement for so much hassle. When the labor cost is factored in there is an actual loss 7 times out of 10. Medical Device is now flooded, and anyone in Pharma right now with any sense is trying to get in another industry. You are a damn fool if you're trying to get a job or make a living "consulting" in this industry. Funny to see doctors try and play " business person" now since the insurance companies aren't magically sending patients to their door.

Slowly they are "grouping" bc they dont know how to run a business , receive a salary and have to see "X" amount of patients per day. Welcome to what's called "metrics" DOC! They now have a boss and answer to "management." What they prescribe is slowly evolving to a pre populated formulary list that of course is favored towards generics. Fools in Washington pulled out everything Pharma in the Healthcare reform, don't count on the Senate to do anything different. For this industry to survive it would require it's own Pharmaceutical Industry Reform Act". The Speaker isnt much of a mover and shaker so dont count on that one either. He sure likes to see himself on tv.

The good thing is that every industry needs a Sales Rep to go out and bring in the accounts, and managers to help provide direction and discretion. Good luck

    PS..

This company would still be around if the time and money was invested into "access" for the medications instead of FOOD & BOOZE. The few Pharma companies who might make it long term are those that focus on medication "access." Example- Realistic cash pricing options that doesn't involve insurance.

People that got out of Meda quickly are doing fine, people that got out of pharma all together are doing great.

Way too late for the GOB's though. They'll be wallowing in 100 person crap pharma companies praying to make it to retirement age for the rest of their lives. Couldn't happen to a more deserving lot of do nothings. I love karma!

The GOBs feel entitled to Director level positions. I would give any sum of money to see their interviews when they are asked about actual financials or proven success.

Uhhhh I told the reps that they need to leave the newest brochures in all of the waiting rooms they visited that week.

Im not trying to be rude but has any company hired any one of those guys for consulting? What would they possibly consult about? Wouldnt you have to have experience or success? Can someone help me understand? Where is that inside guy who posts the updates about them? Let's hear an update

Thank you! This answered our question on why they all put consulting on their resume. It's just a big lie so they can fill in the gap and talk about it in an interview. I hope if they do get an interview, they look deeper into who they consulted for and what the outcome was. Really slimy guys. Low lifes. Same thing with the xtra mile group. Sad
