The recent innovation in health care that it has impacted existing systems is 3D Printed Biological Materials. Over the last decade medical personal have used different practical and overtime to solve ongoing health issues and how to apply them to humans. There are seven applications in 3D printers in healthcare that is going to impact the future. Those seven are embryonic Stem Cells, printing skin, Blood Vessels & Heart Tissue, replacing Cartilage & Bone, Studying Cancer, patching a Broken Heart, Replacing Organs.

According to Hendricks, experts have developed 3D printed skin for patients that have been burned. These developers have developed airway splints for babies with tracheobronchomalacia. Many 3D- printed medical solutions are still in their experimental stages, but first tests are looking promising in a variety of areas.

3D printing allows manufacturers to cost effectively produce customized medical devices. It also is known that 3D printing become integral to surgical planning. There’s also ability to plan, perform and perfect a surgery on 3D printed medical model before providing life saying surgery. Being able to practice these procedures is to reduce complications and the amount of time patients spend on the operating table. According to MPN, Unversity of Michigan doctors were presented with a baby who was born with Trachea Bronchi Malaysia (without cartilage in its windpipe). The doctors have used Stratasys’s 3D printing technology to 3D print to use absorbable material to help the body heal itself.

In conclusion, technology is changing daily and that has changed 3D printing solutions. Strengthening certain segments help can provide for patients and shape the future of surgical training. Responsibility is shaping people’s lives by revolutionizing the way things are made.
