If you spend time in the field and hit your numbers, you get your bonus and life is good.

If you are a trash, lazy rep who cant sell and hit your numbers, you spend your day on cafe pharma and complain about how terrible the company is and how nothing is your fault. Get over yourselves you idiotic divas.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to loving life and racking up my bonus

Great culture and opportunity to make lots of money and improve patients lives. 2 of the best products I have ever promoted. Management is very helpful and encouraging. I would recommend Avanir to everyone.

I'm doing pretty well myself, but all 3 previous posters are wrong. Both these products are incredibly difficult to sell. It takes a considerable amount of time to build confidence in HCPs to use either product. If you Arent working, naturally you wont see results.

it can be soul crushing to sell this stuff- so i understand the frustration with the field team. Management however, does need to get better--and I feel it's getting there--and recognition of those doing well needs to improve.

if both drugs are so great,
Why do still 100 reps have less
than 20 Onz scripts in a quarter ?
You can't tell me half the sales force
is dog shit and also not working ?
Maybe it's the drug, coverage, pricing, pharmacy switches, burning noses
and just really not that great of a product ?

This is the best post yet. Yes, please come to Avanir. It's so great here. Which is why we have 50% plus turnover, not including upper mgmt, which is 99%. Plus, our managers are cast offs from places like rental car agencies or contract pharma companies.

Comedy hour. Some reps wanna sell Viagra type drugs. Just get signatures, bring coffee n show a million pics of kids to office staff who can care less. Yawn. No grit. Can't handle a tough sell. Company is slow with indications. Plenty of blame to go round. Good reps here bad reps here. The way it is everywhere. But this is the worst forum in the history of CP so maybe does show the caliber of reps here.

Bottom line is this. Both Nuedexta and Onzetra are not for the weak of reps. These drugs require considerable time in promotion and equally in follow up. This is where most reps fail. No, the managed care landscape isn't idea but it is manageable if you know how to utilize the resources available to you. If you came from a company where the drug basically sold itself, this is not the company for you. If you came from a POD scenario, this too is not the company for you.

50%+ turnover, you must be spot on. Things are really great. You would be a fool to leave.

    Those new indications for Nuedexta
should be coming any day now, especially the agitation in the dementia patient one

i was told in 2012 that agitation was going to be read out in 2016, now 2021, WTF it will be 5 years to late. I already left the company and was sick of the bs.

Aint no indication coming. Otsuka is done with us. Obvious. Down sizing around the corner, before the end of year. Onzetra will be gone.

Do you know how big of a downsizing?

    Avanir will be wiped out
    Otsuka wants us gone

We did not let Otsuka save face. We have embarrassed our superiors of which none showed up at the NSM, only some random board member. We are done.
