No wonder our industry is regarded as soft. Your relationships hurt sales when all you do is show up, share vacation photos, and schmooze. You may break out the sales aid when the manager is with you. You "confront" clients by...what's the word.. oh yes, SELLING. It's called closing.
All we do is check boxes, bring lunches, and spew data. This is a make believe job.
And if you have to lie about your activities in between lounging at Starbucks and chatting up the office staff in exchange for collecting your inflated paycheck you pretend to earn, why don't you leave? Try working for yourself or in an industry where you are accountable for your performance. I'm sure someone with your stellar talents will triple your income.
