Third rate employees create a third rate company

It is reasonable to assume that when you collectively hire a bunch of third rate employees that have been discarded from industry and migrate toward the center of the drain you end up with a company like Alcami.

If you scrutinize every employee individually you will find that they have not been largely successful and tend to just be drifters with no drive in life. There is absolutely now way to turn this talent pool into a high performing development company.

Double jeopardy kicks in when these folks seek employment elsewhere and see that AAI/Alacami job on the CV. It pretty much qualifies them for low level operational support rather than leadership roles at more premium companies.

Several recognize that this place is career limiting and have accepted the quality of life offered up by the region.

To characterize the employees as third rate is being generous to some of them, anyone with any other options and no ties to Wilmington (where I am working) leave. You are correct that many of the better ones stay because of ties to the area and frankly some don’t have the motivation to leave. Management, on the other hand, is much less than third rate. The bush league dregs that rotate through this shit hole are the very bottom of the barrel.

Once Ares Capital Corporation takes over there will be drastic changes in management. One can imagine a complete change in leadership, and i use the term "leadership" loosely.
