What division are you in that you think you’ll be laid off?

Does anyone have any idea when layoffs will be? Any rumors? I keep hearing after New Years... but usually companies do it before the end of the year. I’m trying to hold on to see if I’m going to be laid off so I can get the severance, but I’m so miserable here.

  4. Looks like you are off your anti-psychotic meds.

Anyone that’s actually happy here is delusional and needs some antipsychotic meds.

Amen to all of this!! Pharma looks attractive from the outside, but once you start doing the job, it just absolutely sucks! Like this poster said, your coworkers will mainly be complete superficial morons who have never had an original or...

If it’s by New Year’s then why don’t we have a WARN letter? Even if we are 60 days out it’s hard to look for jobs during holidays?

I find it very hard to believe that there won’t be layoffs in Sales on the Forest side, there are definitely areas of over deployment. It’s just a logical business decision.

not just sales. R&D also is on the chopping block. It is going to be a blood bath.

These are all assumptions and the decisions haven't been made. Keep in mind that R&D has already go through a few blood baths since the Actavis/Allergan merger and it's already a pretty slim organization (in comparison).

Any one that's connected to Botox is pretty much safe and other areas depend on if Abbvie likes the Allergan design or not.

For instance, Allergan runs their own clinical trials, which is usually an outsourced operation. Not sure what Abbvie does, but if they outsource it, they have a decision to make.

You'd be surprised how many Allergan processes are being kept and how many are being combined to a happy medium.

However, Sales - I don't even think it's a department we need as a whole.

Yes, because most people with medical conditions do their homework and are prepared to talk to their doctors about options for treatment.

Most doctors know what's new and are ready for those discussions.

If anyone thinks that they are adding value to that discussion by dropping off donuts, samples, and begging for signatures, they are sadly mistaken.

TV ads are far more productive than breakfast delivery people.

    Really, now?

Because I was in an office yesterday, and the specialists had never heard of two of our products.
