All Omar did was benefit from a lot of decisions made before he ever showed up here. A bunch of great products were being launched that caused the stock to catch up to the rest of the sector and Omar claims all his great strategies are working so well. A lot of us see how incompetent he is his leadership team are. Worse, they are all so full of themselves. 4 more years and I hit 30 years here. Sad to see what Omar has done to this once great company.
Agee 100%! And he is so boring when he speaks to the sales organization. He makes millions and dresses like a homeless person. Blah Blah Economic Value
Economic value is key. Reduce Sales staff and stop contributing to increased healthcare costs by marketing for the doctors and creating markets and overutilization. The insurers can’t afford the bloat any longer. No need for so many sales reps in the ORs and hospitals begging doctors to use their products under guise that they’re “training doctors.” Cafepharma will censor this and choose what to post.
You lazy reps dont provide any product or service. You're basically glorified order takers and definitely NOT IN SALES !
yeah cause doctors just magically know my entire portfolio and definitely have time to read the surgical techniques train their staff and residents and order the trays in for cases good point brah thanks for the revelation
So you admit that you are doing work for the doctor at no charge in return for his/her purchase of your products? Sounds like the definition of a kickback to me.
By that definition a car salesman is doing the work for the buyer at no charge in return for his/her purchase of his products. I mean its not like the customer pays the salesman directly so is it a kickback (per your definition)??
The used car salesman is working for the benefit of the dealership and is an official agent. The dealer benefits and it’s irrlelevant is salesman gets paid.
Easy on the insults people... Omar drives a used car, and that used car salesperson is now VP of corporate accts! Don't be jelly... brah.
Management all around seems very disconnected from the field and the customers. Numbers don't lie, the markets are telling a story.
Medtronic management needs to be replaced. Their performance has been brutal in the marketplace. You can only last so long on the Medtronic reputation, without actually adding value. That reputation is being damaged every day. Understanding the business and the customer is critically important to plan and execute strategy. Omar and his GE counterparts have underperformed and need to go.
