You may want to get your facts straight before you start running your mouth, TZ wasn't fired from Alcon you moron, he quit! He saw the destruction that coming ahead and had the common sense to get out before the downward spiral of Alcon/Navaritis began!

Either he was fired or he saw it was coming and he left. Everybody deserves a second chance. The important point is that one should not repeat their mistakes and use the second chance right. Who did not make a mistake ? So stop critising people with their past mistakes, reasons to leave former employers... Now if you ask me if TZ fits in his current position, I would definitely say No. He is not even in a stretch position due to his arrogant attitude and lack of leadership skills. Would he develop himself ? I have also serious doubts... He should have kept at the Division Head, GM position. He will soon start disputing and fighting with his direct reports, starting with Safia as he can not accept challenges and does like confrontation. That's why CFO, Legal, HR are kept out from him. His life in this position is up to his direct reports and SR's tolerance. Concerning SR, don't compare apples and oranges... SR is the right leader for the company. We all are lucky to have him and he will spend half of his time in FW, hopefully.

OK - TZ was fired from Alcon for multiple "ethical" issues. Think about it, going from President of one of Alcon's most important, growing markets to Latin America??? You have to be an idiot to think otherwise. There are a lot of people in the Ophthalmic field who know the real TZ (and we are not letting him back - he has tried over the past few years). It is only a matter of time .... TZ, it is about time for you to pull these posts!

If this is true, why do we need him? We do not have internal talents? We need the Alcon rejects?

This guy is a joke. Running around telling everybody about his trips, clothes and watches. Are you kidding? If this company is going to succeed, they need to bring in some innovative out of the box thinkers. They need someone who is going to go way outside the box and bring out a sales and marketing plan that A/C has never tried before. The same old is not going to do a thing against Botox. They continue to gain market share each quarter. TZ, stop running your nonsense stories and build a strong team and build this company. We don't care about your trips and houses and cars.

Look. We are in the world of the ultimate boys club hook up here. Stuart hooked up TZ... Who hooked up (the list is long and more than I even know) BZ, JR, JF, CT, MM, RK, DA... And soon to be long gone for the ultimate Alcon hookup JW, EB, NJ amd JK.

They can hook up whomever they want but if they don't start growing this business everybody will be gone. Nestle is going to take flat numbers for long. They launch new products with Youtube videos, have no cross selling plans or bundling packages and pull sales professionals out of the field for weeks at a time for training sessions that you could put on a webinar. The overall business is light and they decrease the selling days to lock folks in a hotel? Seriously.
They had six months to figure out bundling packages, training, sales and marketing and they did a lousy job. Docs are snapping up the Silk and this is before Actavis releases its own lip product which is selling in Europe. If you can't sell before Botox reps have a competiting product, then when can you sell. The customer loyalty program pales next to Actavis which has a superior customer ecosystem in place. This guy runs around bragging about everything but can't effectively run the business.

My guess is Nestle gives until this summer and then one year into the purchase the reductions begin. There are to many reps in small territories that can easily be combined and the overhead of this group doesn't support the revenue amounts derived.

Ask him not to tell people about his houses and Watches. Best for him to tell every one his heroic stories when he was with Alcon. Most Colorful !!!

I would not ask TZ about China, or his "ethical" days at Alcon. Better yet, ask him about his watches, cars, houses, bank accounts and his Olympic Gold Medal ... he is so perfect.

Sounds like a good story. What's the story with Kelly H? I thought Rick L was going to get it.

This is the same person who has several times been overheard in public settings stating that he doesn't care if sales members walk out of the job because they can be easily replaced. Then he gets up at meetings and states how the company is concerned over the turnover in the sales team. How can anyone want to work for a company that is run by such a pig? They set unrealistic quotas and provide no real sales or marketing plans that any physician is interested in. If you say Aspire, give me a break. EB and his extremely long winded sales talk emails are a joke. Galderma and their 70's style training sessions locked away in a hotel every three months are a joke. Never will they be anywhere near Botox and if they don't get their act together, they may fall to third.
