uh oh...the sky is falling

    In Texas that does not surprise me. All the managers on the take.

  2. Problem here in Texas is that everyone has dirt on everyone else. The DM's have Dirt on the the RD. The RD just wants to collect his check an put his kids through college and of course has dirt on the Dm's. The reps all have dirt on their DM's, and so on. As long as nobody tells on anyone everyone is happy to live the lie that everyone is buddy buddy. It is like kids in pre-school....threatening to tell the teacher.

    As soon as one of these DM's goes too far and a rep says something everyone starts pointing fingers, numbers start to come up, time stamps start to get pulled and people get freaked out because suddenly there is a huge problem with something. (real or not) And don't think for a second that the RD and DM's will not lie an make something up to cover their butts. They got promoted to their positions so of course they lie, its the way Forest operates. Lie cheat and steal and you will get promoted here.

    So when the boat gets rocked all of a sudden everyone starts pointing fingers, starts lying about what really happened, field rides suddenly go from great to very poor, Dm's start calling to "check in" about three times a day, RD's who have never once spoken to a rep outside a POA start to call an say "I wanna hop in the car with ya" and other BS. RST's start to show and ride with you all the meanwhile they boast about how they could fix this an that and basically lie about how great they used to be as reps. Meanwhile they are reporting everything back to the DM and RD about how bad you are as rep. (this is especially true in the S.TX division) Don't forget they got promoted (and in one case demoted but not fired) so you know already that they are experts at how to lie and backstab people they work with on a daily basis.

    What happened in Texas is just a great example of how this company really operates.
    DM goes over the line (as they always do)
    Rep reports an issue (one of many they could report)
    RD is as always on vacation or ignores the problem.
    HR gets involved and figures out a way to protect the company (not the rep)
    Suddenly the person whom HR is supposed to protect gets railroaded. The Forest people all huddle up and figure a way out of their problem, not how to make it right...Just how to get everyone out of the problem.

    Again HR is there to make the waves go away, not protect the reps.
    HR finds a way to protect the RD,DM and themselves and lets the rep twist in the wind.

    Bottom line: if you work for Forest trust nobody. Especially your DM, RD, RST and HR.
    It is a company that protects themselves, not the reps.

    So who can you trust? At forest...nobody!

    If you can get away, run!

    Worst DM's????

    It's hard to decide which one is worse but I would start with Dallas:

    This is what you get when you hire Enterprise Rental Car Salesmen.... People who may have done a good job as a rep (or at least they knew how to drink the ole kool aid). But they have absolutely no idea how to motivate and support their team. I get so sick of the canned expressions they all use and how they want you to send them a million emails and voicemails when you should be working. These two guys hate each other and that is a know fact. Perhaps they hate each other because they are so much alike. Two total uncaring A$$holes...

    I am a rep based out of Dallas for a small pharma company. I travel 70% of the time and spend the night out 6 nights a month. I was actually extremely interested in the FW territory so I would have to travel less. Why did the rep in FW leave in the first place? I actually was looking through Forest threads to find someone who might want to refer me in. Now I am second guessing this.... Is everything really as bad as you all say it is?

    I wish I knew why the FW rep left, but I don't know for sure. I can tell you however, that from what I can tell Texas has the worst group of A-hole managers talked about on this board. If I were you, I would stay put. I would rather travel than deal with these guys. Just a word of caution. The grass is not green over here.

    Absolute power corrupts absolutely....meaning when you feel invincible...bad crap is gonna happen....right now riding the bus down the backside of his power trip.

    How many more BS phone calls, emails, and field rides do we need to put up with?
    It is bad enough that we have to do our DM's work with "productivity and housekeeping busy work" but now we have to entertain the notion that they are actually clued in to our company?
    This place under DW leadership has turned into a pathetic bunch of power hungry, promote the weak and reward the a loser ass kisser fools!
    You have got to be kidding me, what value do any of the DM's provide other than to make us embarrassed after we walk out an office? They go over the line and we then have to pick up the pieces. You sucked as reps and you still suck as a our fearless leaders! (the only reason you are fearless is because DW does not have a backbone to fire you!)

    If you call a guy who is married but sending texts to this very beautiful Asian girl that works for Forest, asking her to meet him at the bar at the POA (this was a few years ago) a stand up guy, then I guess so. He knows he is a good looking guy and he works it to his advantage. His poor family...wow...

    Hey AW - are listening to all this?? You disappoint me; time to grow up and change. If you keep going down this path you will regret it - trust me -I've seen it over and over. This behavior never ever pays off in the long run.

    Focus on motivating your sales team and re-establish their trust or you will eventually go down and lose big time.

    OK, so besides his sexual addiction and unfaithfulness to his family, is he a good business manager? Does he know what he's doing? Does he have a clue what needs to be done in the field or does he suck down the koolaid like 97% of all the other managers at Forest?

    Someone from that area would better answer this than me b/c all I have ever heard about him is that he is a slime. I can't imagine that he is a very good manager since his priorities are chasing booty on the job. He doesn't have alot of respect from the DMs in the Dallas area, I can tell you that. Maybe it's b/c he doesn't drink the KoolAid???? Anyone from Austin on here????? Spill the beans....

    He is not a good leader.
    He is a braggart.
    He is Mr Wonderful.
    He is scary to have alone in your car.
    If he EVER knew what he was doing then that would be a surprise to me,
    It certainly does not show now.
    As for the Koolaid, I am sure he would not know what to do or how to do it without the Koolaid. Without the Koolaid he is clueless and lost.
    He would fit into a cult perfectly, oh wait, he is at Forest----He is in a cult.
