This week, non-exempt employees that take part in production including packagers and machinists are having 56-72 hours deducted from their banked PTO due to a 6-day planned production shutdown. Plenty of people are upset and airing grievances over company intranet. It seems exempt employees are spared. A headscratcher for sure. Why they didn't plan to shut down over the holidays instead of during prime production season is beyond me.
