Awesome. Does this count as your 2-week notice? Please get off of our healthcare before you enter the ICU.

Great idea. Three to six months from now when many apps will be readily available and companies require digital verification, not only will you be fired, you'll have the added bonus of being charged with fraud.

Vaccine cards are CDC documents. Intentionally falsifying them to lie about vaccine status and hospital verification could have serious consequences. This is a highly infectious, dangerous disease for many regardless of what your political bent leads you to believe. Even entertaining this idea is pathetic and disgusting.

Pur ykur big boy pants on and get vaccinated like every other responsive adult in ans kit of our industry already has.

If you work in the pharma industry and are repeating these tired, defeatist, baseless anti vaxx and politically driven claims, just resign already. You have no business working for and collecting a paycheck from a healthcare, science oriented company or industry. So tired of reading and hearing this nonsense.

being contraindicated and being at high risk of AE are 2 different things. Clearly there are some people these vaccines aren’t appropriate for and we don’t know who those are yet so why force it. A member of my family and a teacher completely healthy suffered paralysis after her first dose. It’s easy to say it’s safe for most if you haven’t personally witnessed that it’s not.

It is 100 percent impossible to track. Health Systems don't communicate with each other now, then add in the fact that 180 million or so people have been vaccinated. Some places don't even give cards. Walgreens, CVS, hospitals, temporary vax centers and more are not uploading to some database whether you got it or not. Just like anti vax parents have done for years when they forge records from a local office. Do you really think someone is auditing your health records- that are protected in the first place?

Do you even work in this industry? You do know how medical records work right?

I sold EPIC EMR systems...so yes I do know how medical records work and you are complete inaccurate as this is a CDC database...so yes all the vaccine records are recorded and stored electronically from the site of delivery to the data clearinghouse. The vaccine card is a like your old school passbook savings account ledger. Nice to have a paper record...but the bank still has all of your records on file electronically and that is what counts. There are data clearing houses that do exactly what you saying doesn't happen. We have been doing with infectious diseases for decades, well before the AIDS epidemic. Vaccination records do not fall under HIPPA PHI.

Clearly you do not know what you are talking about.

Hi All! Great news! FDA approved Pfizer Vaccine. Most restaurants in SF is validating vaccination indoors. Soon, most corporations will mandate vaccine. That’s all! Have a nice day!

Vaccination information is classed as PHI and is covered by the HIPAA Rules. However, HIPAA only applies to HIPAA-covered entities – healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses – and their business associates. If an employer asks an employee to provide proof that they have been vaccinated in order to allow that individual to work without wearing a facemask, that is not a HIPAA violation as HIPAA does not apply to most employers.

It would not be a HIPAA violation for an employer to ask an employee’s healthcare provider for proof of vaccination. It would however be a HIPAA violation for the employee’s healthcare provider to disclose that information to the employer unless the individual had provided authorization to do so. If an employer is running their own vaccination program and an employee chooses to have their vaccine privately, that individual may have to authorize their healthcare provider to disclose certain information about their vaccine to their employer as proof that they have been vaccinated.

Asking about vaccine status would not violate HIPAA but it is possible that other laws could be violated. For instance, requiring employees to disclose additional health information such as the reason why they are not vaccinated could potentially violate federal laws. Furthermore, several states have passed laws – or are considering laws – that prohibit employers in the public sector from asking employees about their vaccine status.

Sounds like a vaccine mandate is kinda racist considering only 40% of blacks and 45% of hispanics are vaccinated. If having to have a drivers license or state ID to vote is racists surely vaccine mandates are. Will you need to show proof you are vaccinated to vote or only to work?

Exactly. Vaccine verification is needed but not for voting?

Imagine working for a biotech company and being dumb enough to be antivax.

Like someone said, gtfo our healthcare and make sure to not use up any healthcare resources and hospital beds if you get COVID.

So it’s all about reducing healthcare costs? Wait till they tell you you have to lose weight or get fired because you’re too much of a risk and increase their operating costs.Because that is the road we’re going down.

How about when Genentech mistreats contract workers by firing them because their politics don’t mixed well with theirs? They went down roads that shouldn’t have went down, long time ago. Spare us with your straw man argument. Idiot.

You make fascists everywhere proud. I hope you don't have the gall to call yourself an American.

Right, because it's so unAmerican to prioritize public health over all.

Hospital beds being used up and nonCovid care being delayed bc of dumbfcks like you who think it's infringing on your rights to require vaccines. Where's your outrage when a veteran from Houston died from treatable pancreatitis bc there were no hospital beds to admit him, bc they're all being used up by dipshits like you who think vaccines are unnecessary? Where's the outrage when schools have always required chicken pox, hepatitis, TD, etc?

Don't like the vaccine mandate? Find a new job, get covid, die, I don't give a damn. Just don't infect others and don't take up resources from those who need them.

Are you dense? You realize that with a limited number of hospital beds, COVID patients are taking up resources from others, right?
And when did being overweight become an infectious disease?
