Tick-tock. We are on the clock. Too many reps with underperforming stock.
Tick-tock. Vaccines is where reps flock. Too many reps layoffs should not be a shock.
    Tick-tock, tick-tock, Kaboom!! 2020, that's when it will rock!

Vaccines just hired two Respiratory Managers in the Midwest. Yikes!

The specialty divisions can only take on so many reps and managers fleeing from the GSK Titanic aka the Respiratory division. Just like the Titanic, there are a finite number of lifeboats. Most of us will go down with the ship. In maritime law, the captain always stays on the ship until all passengers are safe. That is obviously not the case for Gen Pharma FLLs. As the previous post mentioned, two managers just jump into vaccines. The writing is on the wall, the floor the ceiling and being written va sky writing. Gen Pharma will be dissolved in short order. Vaccines is bloated and facing stiff competition and pricing pressure. Like someone posted, "Tick-Tock".....KABOOOOOM!!!

Anyone know what type of salary the inside vaccine sales positions get? How is the bonus structure? It seems like the positions keep popping up every 5-6 months or so? High turnover?

Feel free to take it if you want less pay, lower bonus, no car, and a manager two cubes over from you......oh, and you need to be local to the shithole that is the greater Philadelphia area.

It's called GSK! They take great divisions then overtire. Set completely unrealistic goals then layoff good people. Tesaro will be the shinning light but only for a short while. GSK will put in their management and completely screw it up! Look at what's happening to VIIV. Those poor people were infiltrated with GSK manager about 12 months ago. Just look at their thread? Just ask any VIIV rep. Completely screw things up. Over and over and over again. Hang tough everyone and try not to take things personal. Just know that management are the ones who are inept.

    Adult or ped?

For major market ped, I would expect a base of 90-110K depending what grade you are brought in at. No idea about adult

are they seperated? The job description reads "The pediatric/Adolescent/ Adult immunization specialist..."

Also why do some description headers say Vaccine specialist and others immunization?" Isn't it the same thing?

Perhaps somebody needs to learn the difference between immunization and immunology. Jeez

EVERYBODY can't help themselves from being total pompous pricks. that is the problem with the world today. GSK has openings for vaccination specialists and immunization specialists. Instead of answering the question of who sells what, you chose to take the time to reply a nothing answer that made you feel like you're so much better than the poster.
    Just pathetic.

Yes there are ped and adult reps. Peds carry a full portfolio while adult have a handful of products, most notably shingrix. There are full line positions in some markets so it may be that. Not sure about comp for those

Also, vaccine and immunization specialist are the same thing. We use them interchangeably, however official title is vaccine sales specialist. Immunology is a whole other division.
