everyone should listen to CFO's presentation at morgan stanley conference today. he said that since the hetlioz to pysch program (targeting sighted non24s) we have "more than doubled" scripts and hit an all-time high of hetlioz scripts and "new patient starts" and this has been majority driven by sighted.
funny that just weeks ago on the 2Q call, they refused to answer the question about sighted vs blind breakdown. I have found Jim and Dr Poly to be highly selective in their disclosure of information.
at least he is now on the record admitting that sighted patients are driving the hetlioz biz.

 

Even funnier is how he thought the layoff was necessary despite those great sales!

Could Vanda possibly look good financially on paper because of the money that they saved on salaries with the layoff?

that is still more than deceptive since the vast majority of those sighted patients (that don't actually have n 24 regardless of what Jen Hedden says) will never get Hetlioz either due to completely inefficient process or the insurance company says Fuck No.

 

"New patient starts" does not mean a patient got their meds as CEO and CFO like to mix the terms to what sounds good. Also, for the bigger lies, CEO makes CFO make the claim so he can claim ignorance about the comment if questioned later. I wonder how the new head of legal is enjoying his new role? Or did he already run out the door after witnessing the destruction of Hurricane Mihales?

 

The CFO should do a better job of addressing serious HR violations by management that have been brought to his attention instead of just sweeping them under the rug.

HR's boss is the CFO at this small place.

 

That will NEVER happen. CFO CEO CCO all dictate how things happen and are directly responsible for HR, compliance and any other violation that occurs. The underpaid and short staffed HR department has no power but to follow the ORDERS from the top. Same with compliance, the compliance department has no power as GP and MH decide that compliance is not important if sales are low.

The CEO himself is a sexist, racist pig that hates employees over 30. The problem begins there.

can anyone at Vanda confirm or deny that the company has engaged in channel stuffing, with hetlioz? during any quarter? The hetlioz numbers dont add up. considering all the commentary about lag time between Rx and patient starts, patients stopping therapy, inability for patients to get medication, etc. something doesnt make sense. my guess is the reported numbers. unless Vanda is simply churning and burning through patients. which seems unsustainable.
