Inventiv is only handling the recruiting. All new hires are Vanda employees. Vanda no longer has any contract reps. Those that stuck around because they actually care about schizophrenia and mental health were rolled in to Vanda. Several specialty companies do pay 100 or more as base. But, Vanda is not a reputable company and has extremely unethical, arrogant and out of touch management at the CEO, CCO level. Some of the new manager hires were very bad hires as well, but no one currently employed anywhere would ever consider Vanda. The current representatives are looking to flee and most new hires are still actively looking.

Is everyone else at only $65K? I thought it would be higher. What is the bonus? When does training start?

Enjoy your small territory and a call list containing a short list of docs, most of which do not treat adult schiz. Enjoy having your list dicatated and no ability to add or delete.

Why is no one that has been hired for these jobs talking? What is the scoop?

Been busy still hoping something better would come along. Embarrassed that job prospects are that bad that have to go to work for Vanda.

Pro: you will receive a huge company telephone that no one wants as pharma companies starting reimbursing for personal phones ten years ago. you can use it as a large paperweight or as a speed bump for your street.
Pro: you get to use your own vehicle. If Vanda supplied a vehicle, it would probably be a used bicycle.
Pro: you get a CEO that has his nose in EVERY decision and allows sales management to serve only as puppets. You will be given as much kool-aid to drink as you desire.
Pro: you dont need to be able to think as CEO and CCO have no trust in subordinates to sell Fanapt and dictate strategy accordingly.
Pro: if you like challenges, meeting impossible metrics while remaining ethical will interest you.
Pro: you get to help adult schizophrenic patients - if they see one of the few prescribers in your very limited and dictated call list and if they take samples (you wont have time to call on anyone else as sampling is a metric)
Pro: you can visit all sorts of different medical specialties because they once wrote one Fanapt prescription eight years ago. They may not see adult schizophrenic patients but you still get to visit (ethics be damned) to investigate why they wrote that mysterious one prescription.

No cons at all. It's heaven.

They expect you to use THEIR phone? What kind of phone is it? That's ridiculous.

You are upset about having to use a company phone but apparently accept selling out of indication. You are Vanda material! We'd love to have you!

Pro: You will be trained by Charlie Brennan on how to sell and be told how to utilize what is learned. However, you will then do role plays which are completely scripted and are completely contradictory to everything you have just been taught. Charlie laughs all the way to the bank regardless.

Then head over to Dick's and pick up a good whistle. Make sure it is nice and loud so you can be heard over the others.

MH and GP want you sampling all the time (never mind that on label schizophrenics are on Medicaid and being treated at no sample clinics)..... so lots of off label, wink wink promotion. There will be loud whistles being heard coast to coast..
