In May we had data management and programming. Despite the fact that it looks already like a failure, it won't stop them, what line function is going next to Hyderabad ? I am betting: 2018: Stats 2019: GCM (trial management) 2020: surprise !! What you think ?

De-skill any job with technology by 20-60% and it can then be done overseas with a script. Not a lot of people understand that. It has nothing to do with productivity or skills/ability. It's all about saving major $$. From that article in Feb 2017: "A lot of work is [already] being done in Hyderabad. Some specific examples would be to use predictive analytics to run global clinical trials. We run clinical trials in 52 countries. We constantly have to make a decision on where we open a trial site and adapt a trial. This can be done by investing in technology infrastructure and building predictive analytics tools rather than based on human decisions."
It is quite obvious that Vas has no idea what he's talking about when he mentions predictive analytics. He will have big surprises, especially if the analysis is done in Hyderabad... Mckinsey is coming !
Let's hope this Novartis experiment doesn't turn into a similar debacle that another inexperienced 40ish Harvard trained and Mckinsey alum brought upon Alcon.
As a very distinguished long time sales rep- I'm excited about Vas. I've had an opportunity to interact with him and trust me this guy is VERY smart. I think he is exactly what we need from a leadership perspective and Vas is going to take Novartis to the next level! To be honest the "old" guard just didn't "get it". Vas clearly does. Great job developing him and recognizing true talent. Our board of directors did good with this one!
The company will be on its knees soon without the help of those American based Indian and Chinese programmers and database gurus they let go....
"The next level" C'mon it's like humpty Dumpty All the smartest men in the room and now Vas to lead them...it dose t go. Ack together There is no next level at this size. The only thing going on is just backstabbing and feeding on our selves. Just to hold the line requires cannibalism Enjoy the weekend all
Vas doesn't know his ass from his elbow, he spent maybe 2 years in a hospital and that entitles him to lead a billion dollar company? Sell you shares before they tank into the 60 dollar range between lawsuits corruption generics attack and recalls
With all of the changes Vas and his tech ops and quality fledglings are instituting - some very shortsighted- I predict that the company will be is some sort of regulatory issue in the near future. I almost feel sorry for them - almost! The train wreck is close, but they think everything is peachy keen.
