Yep they are temporary.jobs if two years. In past they valued their people now with new mgmt different philosophy. Roche philosophy upsize downsize. If you worked at Roche you would understand.

 

It won't even last two years. A good year... maybe until the end of 2021 but then they won't be needed.

I doubt there is even one good year in this turkey - it’s all downhill from here.

 

If the WHO recommends avoiding use of Rem, then it’s a good likelihood outside the US, it isn’t going to used.

There is no guarantee in this industry for any position, so why not take it? Layoffs are constant everyone these days

 

Gilead is a great company to work for. The teams they have assembled are tenured, good reps. I wish them all the success but it’ll definitely be short term and will be a challenge to sell in some markets. The contract sales force was a big mistake. That was definitely a bad strategy.

 

It’s a Gilead salesforce, tell me more about the contracted one. How many reps are being hired?

Gilead has made the terrible move to hire a contract virtual salesforce to call on the community hospitals and the Gilead IS team will call on the Priority Accounts. This will cause nothing but confusion.

Well I knew this gig wouldn't be too long but this was way shorter than I thought it'd be. Oral already on the cusp of being approved. Was hoping it'd lead to something else within Gilead since it's a great company. Too bad. Back to the job market....

 

Can’t imagine they will lay off entire BU less than 6 months after putting it together

This salesforce dead end. We all knew this would be a <2 year gig. Oral products on horizon do not much need. RD say this coming and left and his peeps are all looking too. Oday is famous from Roche upsizing and downsizing. All RDs and upset and looking how to find a job. Mine is so ticked off.. this telling.

 

VP is nice person but out of position as a Leader in Sales.
ED is a micro manager not Strategic Leader
Our RD in NE, well enough said.

Division needs to Specialty Strategic Leadership at the top, not a Task & Activity manager like retail Primary Care.
If my NE RD tells me one more time to read a can call flow or find accounts not using VKY so he can remove from IC to manipulate treatment rate , I m going to ask my old company for my job back and get my years of service reinstated like the SE RD and Head of Marketing just did!
