Don't get too excited. Not enough details yet. Layoffs are definitely a possibility.

Yes, 100% confirmed today. Tsunami of layoffs coming to Nobel Biocare. Starting with upper management and PSR's that are dead weight.

Our office was visited by a Nobel Rep a couple of weeks ago, and we were informed that Implant Direct products are being eliminated! Does Anyone have any news about this?

i am an implant direct rep, and there has been no such confirmation, nor is that going to happen. Don't believe anything the Nobel rep tells you.

So how would you recommend Danaher handle the merger of its two competing dental implant companies to capitalize on the investment it just made in buying out Niznick? Implant Direct is no longer a joint venture now that Danaher owns 100%. Both companies sell competing implant systems with cross-compatibility but Implant Direct's products are 50-75% less expensive. Both companies offer high quality, customer service, education and broad product selection. Do you really think Danaher can allow Implant Direct to continue to convert Nobel's customers or force Nobel to discount to keep its customers?

I wouldn't. I'm just a peddler and its none of my concern.
