(Reuters) - Pfizer Inc Chief Executive Albert Bourla said the drugmaker could rethink plans to expand in the United States if the country implements an executive order signed by President Donald Trump last week that would tie the prices Medicare patients pay for drugs to those paid by other countries. Trump on Friday signed four executive orders aimed at lowering the prices Americans pay for prescription drugs, as he faces an uphill re-election battle and criticism over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. "These new executive orders could force us to rethink those plans, consider job reductions and add to the economic and health anxiety already widely felt in our country," Bourla said on the company's earnings conference call.
Yes Sir, right out of the Spainatd horses mouth. ".....consider job reductions .... " Let me tell you some well known insights, when a CEO mentions something to the press or media around "thinking & considering"-- well then they have been thinking & considering the topic internally privately for 6-12months prior. It is not IF but WHEN layoffs in US will happen. Likely mid 2021. If Biden wins, then alot sooner.
Exactly Einstein ! Pfizer had booming sales 2nd Quarter with 100% of the reps at home! If you can not figure that out now, then you there is no hope for you & go down with the guantelette . Wow the IQ of Pfizer reps????????
