KN was a good decision. The SP abm choice is baffling. Sub par performance and no leadership skills.

And now she's gone. Who is going for that position?

All internal candidates- 3 CLs from around that area. So glad we continue to promote internally!

One of them is a great choice! Should be obvious and one is a terrible choice.

    What about the 3rd?

Don't be so excited about internal candidates being promoted. There are all sorts of problems inherent in that. Namely, in the past this worked very poorly here. Its far better to hire someone who has actually had managerial experience and a minimum of 2 years at it. They also need to have worked for this company a minimum of two years, if it's an internal candidate. Just because someone has been successful as a rep, does not mean they will be successful taking on a managerial position. Having strong communication and leadership/people skills to handle situations objectively, as well as understanding and appreciation for individual strengths and weaknesses, is what's called for. Being able to squelch your personal biases is under emphasized. You have to be able to get out of your own head and predjudices. You have to be able to get into someone else's perspective, whether you want to or not.

well then be sure to support anyone hired internally- it's a tough gig. Known & inexperienced is often better than unknown and experienced. No matter how highly referred they come, who knows if they'll fit in culturally. You can't train attitude.

who cares? Questions like that show just how childish you are. You probably don't even work here and just troll around stirring pots bc your so pathetic otherwise. Is this the best option you have after midnight? Lol

I strongly disagree with the opinion internal promotions are somehow superior. That simply hasn't been the case here. In fact, all the internal promos to management thus far, have been complete disasters. That being said, this doesnt mean there can't be an internal promotion that's a success, rather the criteria needs vast improvement. However they should never have promoted anyone from within, with less than 2 to 3 years of experience in the first place. Epic failures.
    All if them

The culture sucks and promotions have nothing to do with anything but who you backstab or kiss ass to get ahead. Perfect example.....MM
