What is it with the poor quality of AVP's in Surgical Solutions?

    Why are so many of the AVP's in surgical solutions of such poor quality and character? Especially those from the Ebt group! Some of the poorest excuse and worst character I have ever seen. So many reps and mangers threatened. Very, very poor moral since Bryan and Chris have imposed their will on the new division.

    It's called leadership, part of the design is to encourage people like you to either get with the program or get with another program. Let's hope you're spending 1/2 as much time looking for new career options as you are bitching about the state of current affairs.

    Is there a single positive change or contribution you can identify since these changes have been implemented?

    How about back orders being at an all time low! I could give me, but you asked for 1.

    The back orders were working themselves out prior to Scott's dismissal. They were not always that way. Name some more positive change that has occurred?

    How about the changes in promotion criteria?

    What about the unresolved questions relating to E1 that were never addressed from last year that continue to linger?

    How about no power devices this year when we were promised and quota'd on them for this year?

    What about the duet return adjustment that has not occurred and is going on promises for 2 mos?

    How about the transfer of retread unliked problem child managers to the EMID division to run previously unbroken groups?

    These are just a few. Why not add to the list? It is all the talk of the company out in the field.

    Instillation of fear from senior leadership, coupled with their micromanagement of a business in which they know nothing about.

    The field knows how manic things are inside...told it's as bad or worse than it seems. Scary.

    Speaking of AVPs, what is going on with LG in the South? Three managers fired in less than 3 months and one just quit last week. Can somebody say common denominator??

    It is called management via intimidation. Best way to demoralize a sales force. When you transfer all the retreads from energy you are setting yourself up for an exodus. All these guys want is cheaply paid yes people. Why do you think they did away with the old uss training program? Probably because most cannot cut it and by lowering the standards this allows for cheaper hires.

    All the talent is leaving this company. The beginning of the end in my opinion.

    It is by design. When Bryan and Chris took over they had a plan to make this like a pharmaceutical company. Lots of reps that make less than $100k per year. Covidien isn't where it is at anymore. The surgical solutions division is now an entry level job.

    THis company sucks. Three years ago this was one of the best gigs in the medical device business. Not any more. EbD has no new products coming out. Robotics and reprocessing are kicking our ass and management has no answer. We are told to diversify and wait for Sonocision. Remember a year ago when we were told SOnocision wasn't going to be a revolutionary product? Just a device we could use to convert Harmonic users and that it wouldn't carry a big quota. Well now that small jaw doesn't have ENT claim and there are no other new products we are told that Sonocision is a game changer! THis company sucks and so does the management. They are all full of shit and will lie, cheat and steal to make a buck. Get out! I did.

    That's a sad thing to hear...especially since, at least on the EMID side, we aren't contracted on most GPO's. Meaning, relationships and actual clinical selling matter more than ever. They're digging their own grave if this is the case.

    This is the case. The company no longer wants tenured reps. They are hiring loads of sales associates to fill the future open slots. The writing is on the wall.
