I am laughing that anyone is stupid enough to believe this.

 

Big Pharma is cutting spending too. They cannot afford to give everyone a free ride. They want to reduce the workforce before signing the deal. Those who get laid off will get a compensation package provided by the company that laid them off. Those who get picked up by the negotiation will be given the option to work for the new joint venture or received a nice "thank you for your years of service" package. Pfizer has been known to give a big handout -- a very good marketing tool that last forever.

 

A big celebration around the pond. Local news stations will be covering this big event. Don't plan to be away this April.

JNJ may out bid PFE or NVS for Amylin. They have the cash and had a cozy relationship with AMLN years ago. More competition is good for AMLN. I like JNJ and NVS to add more pressure to PFE.

 

Now that's funny. Why would either of them offer anything, other than for the great office leases in San Diego.

 

Big announcement soon. JNJ, NVS, and PFE know a good thing when they see it. AMLN has 1400 super qualified employees and a fantastic management team. The company has delivered 2 first in class drugs in record time. Which big pharma is smart enough to bet on AMLN?

 

Good news may be delivered on Monday morning. Wear your best clothes next week and get ready for some fun. Why else would Amylin and Lilly tag team their Q1 Earnings Call?
