As he approaches 70, isn't time for a fresh vision? Plus his theatrics is a little much.

Theatrics? Such as? Don’t think the guy is retiring anytime soon, been pretty successful in leading MRL from my perspective...

Roger is a very smart guy. Must be a real hater who started this thread.

Wouldn't Peter Kim and RP be a tie?

Well he's retiring now, gets to go home to Cali. I could never stand his verbose, self important, professorial airs in his speeches. Yes, he is intelligent blah blah - fact is we had to buy our pipeline and not all the deals were good.
    Pretty fair to middling.

Really now, considering he pulled Keytruda off the scrap heap, turned it into a multi-billion dollar a year blockbuster? Best Research Lead in history of Merck...

Sorry, but Keytruda was a lucky accident, thanks to BMS. It has nothing to do with MRL discovery and would have been marketed by Organon or SP otherwise. He got lucky, he was just the right guy, at the right place, at the right time. Nothing to do with creativity, leadership, or intelligence, just pure luck.
