No, the real question is bristol meyers "actually" going to pay anyone who receives a notification the severance that we were verbally told about and is the verbal severance talked about detailed in writing anywhere?

Very good point... We never received anything in writing... I have heard that BMS does make good on a severance, however, they do look for ways not to pay it... Look at all the Neuro reps that got "moved" into Diabetes positions. It would make sense to let go of the contract reps because they have not been promised a severance.. it's chaper for BMS to do that than to lay off an Amylin rep. But who really "wants" to stay with a company that micromanages like crazy and who wants to go back into "big pharma" culture? There have been a lot of people who have left and more would love to go if there were opportunities!!!

I just had an interview with InVentiv for a position with Amylin selling bydoureon. What do you all know about this contract with InVentiv? Is it going to end? I asked the interviewer about opportunities in the future and he couldn't really give me a straight answer which was kinda a red flag for me. I know there was the recent merge so I want to know if this is a position that I would just be let go from in a few months? Any words of wisdom would help please!

The synergy reps want these jobs. Sadly, their careers have been tainted as the majority have been previously laid off more than once while being a direct hire or contract termination. Pharma hiring mgrs are the most shallow of them all...more than one company on your résumé and you get passed faster than a hoe on a military base.c

Not exactly true. Careers now are not ladders but rather more like jungle gyms. If you are a good rep and have the numbers/awards to prove it, than write a great resume and you can get just as much consideration. If a manager passes you over simply because of numerous companies, that is probably someone you wouldn't want to work for anyway.

Well said #26...being on multiple contracts means nothing! It's what you brought to the table and how well you did. Contracts come and go but good reps always find jobs!

BMS here, I hope they hunt down your NJ ABM because the Dr's hate her. It's ruining our business and reputation.
