I mean seriously.. Say you are a rep with YEARS of experience selling. You have been laid off and unemployed for a few months. A Syneous contract position opens up. You apply and get a f2f interview with a hiring manager. He asks the "WHY". How IN THE HELL do you answer?? WHO the F*** would CHOSE a damn CONTRACT position if given the choice?? WHO? Maybe someone new starting out in pharma but not someone with experience! Someone with experience would rather go with a REAL company but the opportunity isn't available at the same time as your current unemployment. So, how do you answer the question with a straight face? How do you possible convey the lie that this opportunity is a dream come true when we ALL KNOW IT IS NOT.
The manager who would interview you is in the same situation as you. They are having to settle for a CSO gig. Only they now have a job. They had to say what a great opportunity Syneos is. Do the same and keep your eyes open for something better.
uhhh you just say the same shit you would say at any other interview. If you don’t want a contract role, why the hell are you applying? Just apply for the job you want. Simple as that. Quit your crying and let someone who actually wants the job interview for it instead of taking their spot
if you cant sell yourself in the interview why would a manager think you can sell whatever over priced bullshit the parent company is selling?
