There must be a bunch of trolls from the insurance industry on this forum. Anyone who's employed in the HC industry should be for HC reform. It brings 50 million new customers into our fold and that equals big dollars!!!

Most here are not against this joke of a bill because we work in the industry. Most of us are against it because of the way we have seen government F up Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and every other program, in addition to the fact that this bill is the first step towards a single payer.

I am mostly against it for the way it was passed. Secret meetings, backdoor deals, procedural BS. The Democrats who did this with HC are now bitching that the Republicans did this to shut out the Unions...Karma is a bitch.

We are against it because we are Americans who believe in the Free-Market and understand that SOCIALISM FAILS. MORON

So you can't be against this? Your argument is very simplistic. The name calling is classy. Keep it up.

This guy is a total Michael Moore Drone.... he has no idea why America is the greatest country in the history of the world. He lacks a complete understanding of American Exceptionalism. He can't debate substance, he wants to debate himself over Fox News and Liimbaugh.... who is even talking about Fox News and Limbuagh? We are talking about saving our country from a full-on assault from the socialist left. Now growup you Moron and comprehend that Socialism has a record of failure so blatant that ONLY a MORON such as yourself could overlook it.

America did exceptionally well stealing land from the natives and using slave labor to build their nation. The nazi's felt they were the greatest nation to ever live too.

But based on the Worldwide Competitiveness Ranking, we're getting our asses kicked by the "Socialist failures".

The only failure around here is YOU being able to grab a clue, you moron.

You are almost TOO MORONIC to respond to.... So America is NOT the GREATEST country in the history of the world? We are the equivalent of Nazi Germany? LOL
Any drop in U.S. competitiveness or production can ONLY be attributed to America's steady movement from capitalism to the socialist-left. Now go back to studying your copy of The Communist Manifesto.

So "a drop in U.S. competitveness can only be attributed to a steady movement from capitalism to socialist left" so we get get our clocks cleaned by....are you holding on to your hats folks?..........THE MOST SOCIALIST COUNTRY ON EARTH.

Only a MORON could come to that conclusion. Congratulations are in order as you have moved to the head of the class of right wing ignorati, cum laude Michelle Bachmann University.

Time to take Morons to school.... hop on the bus.
The more capitalism that America embraces, the more competitive it can and will be...
As we have allowed the liberals to move our society away from capitalism and toward socialism, America has lost its ability to compete.
Socialism by its very definition discourages competition…..
Now which country are you prepared to relocate to that can touch America’s standard of living, quality of life, productiveness, overall wealth, etc., etc., etc????

Novembers elections should be some clue to EVEN a MORON such as yourself that America is sick and tired of the Democrats relentless pursuit of socialism. Most Americans would like to return to the principles of a Constitutional Republic…. But I don’t expect you even know what that means.

Now tell us again how America is similar to Nazi-Germany.

Like I said previously, only and abject, top of the line MORON can come to the conclusion that, using your premise, a PARTIALLY socialist country ( the U.S.) loses out its competitive edge because of a little socialism to a country that is a FULLY socialist union utopia with single payer healthcare , because that little bit of socialism is worse off than full socialsim to the business environment.

    O.k.; we get it now.

We don't lose-out to any socialist country MORON....
we lose-out to Americas TRUE Potential.
Still no answer to which country you want to move to, huh?
Tell us about Nazi-Germany and US comparisons again....
Is there any problem that government can't solve? Is MORE government the answer to EVERYTHING?

First, it brings in 32 million not 50. Approximately 1/2 of those will be Medicare/Medicaid patients which will add to the cost of those programs even more. How will we pay for that? The health exchanges include a gov't run exchange (the concession for no public option) which will likely absorb a majority of the other 16 million going into commercial plans. So, a majority of these new customers will enroll in plans giving the gov't more leverage negotiating the terms and putting even more price pressure on industry. Also, doctors will see more patients and be reimbursed even less. Medicare reimbursement taking a major cut starting in 2012. None of this is a good idea.

The Supreme Court will be looking at this soon. Glad to see a 5/4 majority for the conservatives!

I'm alright Jack, let the poor die on the street and clog up the ER with preventable complications of simple pathologies seems to be the US philosophy.

The fact is that the people making healthcare decisions are not doctors, they are drones from insurance companies with both eyes on the bottom line.

At least with Govt run systems you can vote out the people responsible, dealing with a huge HMO you are screwed.

I wish the government was at least a little concerned about the bottom-line then perhaps we would NOT be $15 trillion in debt MORON. As it stands right now, medicare is broke and DENIES MORE CLAIMS THAN PRIVATE INSURANCE..... YAY, WHERE DO I SIGN-UP FOR THIS GREAT PLAN.

Stop calling people Moron. You sound very........
Healthcare reps. income, medical company CEO's making millions per year and health related company profits are through the roof at the expense of the taxpayer. Everyone looking to get rich on the backs of those needing healthcare are bloodsuckers.
Free market means, sue everyone, overcharge for health insurance, companies and reps get rich, lawyers costs inflate the cost etc etc. Great system. Pigs get slaughtered at some point.
Private health industry charges the taxpayer top dollar here in America for the same products sold overseas or in Canada. That is why drugs and devices cost a lot less outside of the USA. Our country is in trouble and all you want is more people to help you make more money!!!
First let's stop screwing our own country then perhaps make the other arguments on healthcare reform.
We develop medical products here, we make it here and we charge America the highest prices.
These are our great American people and companies????

Perhaps if we had tort reform we could stop cutting doctors fees. US doctors do make a lot more than the rest of the doctors around the world. Start with lawyers and companies who overcharge Medicare system

Lets face it. Just about everybody with their nose in healthcare makes more than equivalent positions in other industries. It's obscene. Costs need to be cut.
