Have just heard it is being cancelled due to the number of new cases and all of the travel advisories in place recommending no large gatherings.

They don’t plan on canceling unless CDC or government states companies should.

 

VERY BAD DECISION. The risk and liability is so high. So many things can go awry and they are fully aware AHEAD of time. If this really is true that the meeting is not being cancelled. It’s so bad for business.

 

It is true. I would much rather work for a company that puts patients and their own people first. No one is going to be happy so the meeting won’t even be productive.

 

A family member has a fever for 4 days with symptoms suggestive of the flu or mimicking coronavirus. Negative flu test. Requested coronavirus test as precautionary. Can’t get it unless 1. Hospitalized 2. Traveled to countries with extreme outbreak 3. Known exposure to someone with coronavirus.

The outbreak is highly underreported by the CDC because of the testing. The numbers are unreliable. We are medical people. We understand this virus is unknown. Postpone the meeting until this summer when we know more facts. Please.

 

pack 14 extra undies you may be held up in your hotel room until the end of March if there are symptoms that could be Coronavirus, present in ANYONE at the meeting.

Hopefully, you or someone you love does not struggle with a high fever. Struggle to breathe. Coughing. Bloody nose multiple times. Negative flu & strep test. And no coronavirus test available to confirm because they don’t meet the CDC criteria. Fear is the unknown. Just wait for hospitalization. Maybe you will be able to remain as tough, confident and judgemental of others. You do you - and let others stay close to home with people they love. Medical experts are reporting we could all get some form of the disease.

Thankful the company did the right thing until more test are available and more facts are known in the US. Thankful we will not be away from our families.
