Today, healthcare, like many other markets, is all about the "brand". Home Depot, IHOP, McDonalds, or VIRTUA, Jefferson, Einstein. Big box and big business now rule. Send a pancake salesman to an IHOP to sell pancakes, or a lawn mower salesman to Home Depot to sell lawnmowers and they both will face the same problem. No decisions are made at the store level. Transfer this to healthcare. A sales rep visits a VIRTUA practice, or a CHOP practice. Prescribing decisions are NOT (generally) made at the practice (store) level anymore. We need to change the way we do business. Fewer territory reps and more focus on the P&T decision makers.

You can't be serious? P&T, really? A pipe dream. Women's health and every other division needs to rid itself of the old way of doing business. We cannot compete with the generics, nor the formularies. Nor can we compete against ourselves,i.e. Prempro vs Duavee ( Duavee lost)! Decision makers have made so many bad decisions and its time to clean house but we all know they are in a protected status so the Reps will pay the price. Thankfully, those decision makers need jobs and as such Women's health will remain to make those high paid jobs viable.!

Right. Dump the entire division and sell everything thru Amazon, Wal-mart, and CVS.

Then please tell me why we are still here????? I am telling you all, we are safe. We may not be increasing sales but we are still preserving status quo!

How can you argue with the obvious. There are no rumored layoffs, therefore we are here for the long haul.

I will continue doing nothing as long as they pay me.

1st quarter results show we are safe as we make a significant contribution to bottom line. My DBM has assured us that plans are in the works to improve are viability. We may again start promoting Prepro.!!!

is Pfizer looking to acquire Sage?

    That would suck for SAGE.
Many Pfizer folks interviewing and a few have already signed on.

Talks are on going about Women's Health. Layoffs are not an OPTION. Acquisition is the key. All eyes are on a competitor who hopes to bring a new female Viagra to market. I don't think its SAGE. Can you say A__G

Yeah, right. You’re all losers. Pfizer’s way of keeping enough women on the payroll.

Looks like AMAG is on the radar screen, if their new drug gets approval!
