According to one of my key WOCN's today, Convatec is buying an ostomy company out of Berlin that has a convex line of skin barriers and 1 piece system that would compete with ours as it offers three levels of convexity. Product name is Stomocur. Apparently these are possibly a fit with their current adhesive coupling system. The convatec ostomy representative shared this with this WOCN so there must be something to it. It sounds like they have not yet launched this as the rep was just letting her know it was coming soon. I need to do some research on the product and manufacturer but wanted to share asap with all.
