EM trumps VT as he has the final say on anything relating to his companies. I think it's naive to say that he's in the dark at all and that VT is the source of misery at MDL. EM comes off as somewhat likeable and animated, though that is likely by design with limited exposure to him. He'll have you believe he's all Tom & Jerry but, rest assured, IMO he is much more like the Sith Lord to VT's Darth Vader in MDL's culture.
