Most all my friends complain about the 24/7 "pharma huckster" ads on TV. Several said after listening to all the disclaimers (warnings) they would never take the drugs. I saw a link on CP about the cheesy, irritating, huckster like ED ads but this thread is for one to post the most irritating/stupid/cheesy/huckster like/ ads you dislike. Also, remember when the public admired the pharma business? These ads have helped ruin it today.

I fully support ads for QOL drugs. Without ads, women might not know they have choices for migraine meds and be stuck on 1. Men might not know they have choices for ED drugs. People might not know they have choices in allergy meds. Etc. Etc. Etc.

I fully support ads for QOL drugs where there is no lab test to confirm benefit.

If you don't like the warnings, complain to the FDA. I'm sure pharma would love to leave them out too.

As far as the most annoying, Valtrex before it went generic. Some fucking hot chick jumping around happy she can continue to fuck with her genital herpes.

The problem we have today is the hijacking of a previously well respected business/profession by sales and marketing hucksters. Enough said?

Add the GasEx ad to the cheesy and stupid as in "I'm going to send a toot" and using "gas" in a discussion instead of correct word. Can't remember all of the stupid ad.

Actually I had rather my 7 year old ask me what a 'toot" is instead of a "four hour erection" from the slimepit advertising crews at Lilly, Bayer/Schering, and Pfizer!!!

The lowlife marketers of ED ads are the worst along with the TV networks who take their nasty money.

    They're all the worst.

With the start of DTC prescription drug advertising, the hucksters, marketers and the other charlatians entered what was a respectable profession.

We stopped looking at physicians as professionals but as conduits to sell our products.

All we were missing from the turn-of-the-century snake oil salesmen was the covered wagon and traveling road show (and I'm not sure we didn't get the latter anyway).

Back in the day there was a product called DOXIDAN---they gave away a leave behind in the shape of a stop sign that was green on one side and red on the other---the wording was---take a Doxidan in the AM for a BM in the PM--probably the greatest ad line in history--from an old timer

You pretty well summed it up with the present day hucksters but the ED ads are the worst imo.

Lurid Lilly just had their sleazy Cialias ad on evening news showing a couple making out in a grocery store, yes, a grocwery store. They ended up in an orange grove. These slimeball marketing morons will not stop at anything to push their products.

As for me, the ED ads are still the ones that make a mockery of the pharma industry and of which I hear negative comments. Lilly seems to be the worst of the lot with Cialias scht all over.

They have to advertise their "stimulant" products because ED drug sales are way below what they hoped for.
+Doctors are having to buy them now and they don't like having to pay for aids they need to train their new nurses.......

I just turned off 60 Minutes because greedy CBS moneymongers take money from the Pfizer moneymongering sleazeballs via their Viagra ads. My sub teens were in the room and I know the entertainment porn promoters like CBS do not give a good GD about our childrens values so we now know the GD pornsters at Pfizer are in the same class. So for some of your own "medicine", FU CBS and Pfizer!!!!
