Does anyone know how many DeRoyal reps are selling advanced wound care in the US?

Thanks! Trying to figure out if it is worth working there. If they are a serious competitor in the advanced wound care space.

No. They may have 1/2 a percent market share.

When Steve Ward was President and COO, DeRoyal was a vibrant, dynamic, profitable, and growing company. After the prodigal son returned to run the company about 5 years ago, everything has gone downhill. He pissed away tens of millions of dollars trying to get into the orthopedic implant business. That division failed and was shot down when dad had enough of the red ink. With the execption of the remaining puppet President, nearly all of the executive management team that took DeRoyal to their highest level have either been fired by the son, or have seen the writing on the wall and left on their own. Many long-time (15+ years) employees have left the company over the last 3 years or so. That includes the previoius VP of Wound Care who built that part of the business. DeRoyal has changed, and not for the better. Their advanced wound care line has great products, some of the best in the industry. But the company behind it is in in a downward spiral. I would be very wary of joining them at this time. Good luck.

Bullshit you lying sac. You asked about sales force size of B Braun wound care too. Arrogant Losers with competitive motioning projects love to play the con game to get us to hand over for free what they get paid to find for their clients. Whats in it for us? Nothing. You lie to us, we will lie right back. Keep an eye out for the rats with Wound care competitor monitoring project y'all.

This is only half true. The truth is that while morale and general business may have SEEMED much better under Ward, the general sales and profitability were declining dramatically during the second half of his tenure. Most of that was shielded from the average employee, so they weren't aware of the impending doom coming their way. Once the son was put in charge, it was difficult to correct the trajectory.

But yes, the son has made some serious missteps and has been part of the problem - the implants being the biggest one. The failure of that division was due to the incompetence of the people chosen to run it. They "rebooted" it three or four times to try to make it work, but each time they made serious mistakes. Two of their "reboots" involved putting DeRoyal people in charge of the unit - DeRoyal people who had ZERO knowledge of the implants industry or what it takes to make that work. The other time, when they actually went to get industry experience, they ended up putting a complete jackass in charge who was more focused on keeping machines running than creating a profitable implants business (and this guy was WAY underqualified, too - he was a machine shop owner!). They got a couple very talented engineers and sales people from industry, but then ignored everything they said; gee, I wonder why it all collapsed.

All the talented people from all divisions are gone at this point. The company will probably die a slow death; or in best case, transform into a much more tightly focused, smaller company by divesting numerous divisions that just aren't profitable anymore.

    Sad story.
