"Hercules" A product that does not fit on to any existing line Valeant has and needs an entirely new platform and before the layoffs and while we had everyone on site could not even make it to clinical trials is somehow going to "go down"! You are delirious and need help!

Or maybe the best of the best can pull it out of their bums! Good Luck!

This company is a flop that will never hop again. Vision Care has lost all of its management and technical expertise. Likely not a problem as it is now ripe to be sold off. Pharma will get another big round of layoffs after the Allergan (or another pharma company) merger.

Look for a new job you lazy bums. Even if you can not leave Rochester you are probably better taking a step back in your career at another company as being laid off is not good on your resume.

Everything and everybody at this company is such a tiny small r*****. The big boys with all the market share look and laugh at these idiots. Thanks for keeping us laughing at Zeus and your declining share. Prom kings and the junior college have no clue how to compete and win

Come on guys. I want numbers. Is this lens going to be a game changer for Bausch and Lomb ? What are the plans to enter new markets or increase market share ? Will there be a big push in 2017 ? Is manufacturing ready to step up ?

Probably a 10 share at most right now. There's hope now that they have the toric and MF out. All these lenses are good it comes to price and rep service. BL has had massive rep turnover in last 12 months during a time where they are launching new products and just expanded the salesforce a couple years ago. Top talent has left for healthier cultures and better leadership, creating obvious trust barriers with ODs as a whole. Acuvue is still market share leader despite having "old technology". It's a commodity business and most patients don't even know what lenses they are wearing. Ultra will likely grow because you can only go up from where they are, but probably will flat line if it hasn't already.

Has it launched in international markets? There must be room for revenue growth to compensate for weak salesforce in home market

Wishing all the BLers past and present peace, joy, love. But the most important one is love.

Been with B&L 25 years and this is how I see it....B&L makes the best lenses period. Whether it's dailys or frequent replacement lenses or even RGP's (yes we still make them) they just have the best quality, acuity, comfort and fit.
Customers (yes, lens wearers are customers NOT patients) are introduced to lenses by their eye-care professional (or Bob in Walmart) and really don't get to choose lenses until they have been 5/6 yrs wearing them.
B&L Marketing and Sales Depts have always lagged behind the competition, we have a better quality product at similar price but failed to get that across to professionals/customers. Lens R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, Distribution etc have never been perfect but they have batted above average to innovate and lower cost, just to be let down by the marketeers and sales folks, who in turn have been let down by exec mgmt not investing the time and dollars into that area. Valeant is a piece of crap and it's really bad we ended up there, but that's a reflection on executive management level.

I may only have half the time at Bausch but see it the same way. We've have great products but mostly B-list execs and marketing. Nike contact lenses anyone? Event if we got away from Valeant, I doubt we will ever get the leadership to raise us above an also ran company.
