Zimmer Canada?

Spoken like a true Distributor! Man, these guys are in for a huge surprise when Dvorak and McCaulley go after their compensation packages. Not a question of it, just when....

 

Worst ortho company to work for in Canada....no exceptions! Ask any current employee what they think of the place, it will be tough to find one (credible) favourable review.

 

I am completely shocked to read this update. If this is actually true, I feel very, very sorry for the employees at Zimmer Canada. Director of Finance is a two-faced tool, will stab you squarely in the back if it means preserving his little fiefdom. Big man, little man syndrome in a bad way! If you are interested in a finance gig, definitely look elsewhere.

Not much to say about Manager of IT. Everyone knows he is a complete waste of time. Not one person can tell you what he has done around ZC.....for years it has been a complete mystery.

 

Finance Director is a total narcissist. Funny how he magically assumed responsibility for logistics, think he wasn't working behind the scenes to discredit the now Manager of IT? Think again. As for the IT Manager, he was protected for years by the recently demoted GM, their wives are friends. Both will likely get booted out sooner rather than later anyway so, it hardly matters.

 

I worked with Chrysanthou (director of finance) at Zimmer....he is a complete douche bag! Never, ever trust this guy. He is fond of talking about the long hours that he puts in at Zimmer which is total bullshit, he may be at the office all day but he spends half the day trading stocks in her personal account, surfing the web and delegating everything to his staff. He quietly lobbied behind the scenes for years to get rid of Williams (GM), he partially got his way.

 

I interviewed with director of fin a couple of years ago and immediately disliked him, glad to hear that I made the right decision to avoid him and zimmer.

 

J. Hill was fired as the Director of Marketing late in 2010. No kidding, he has landed as a greeter at the big walmart in Guelph, Ontario. Apparently he has given up his search for another high paying implant job. best part, he is very happy with his new career!

 

More Zimmer Canada layoffs last week. Layoffs happen, right? But seriously, take a look at the colossal group of idiots at Zimmer Canada that remain employed...Williams, Chrysanthou, Austin, Folkert, etc. You will never find a bigger group of douche bag managers anywhere else in orthopedics! Even better, no one has thought to show the Distributor in the Maritimes his walking papers??????

 

Heard that Williams was demoted again, this time to Dir of Sales? Second big demotion in less than sixteen months for him....looks like they are slowly but surely kicking his can right out the door, a classic move from ZMH. It's about time, he is a giant waste of time.

 

If things are so lousy at ZMH Canada, why hasn't mgmt whacked anyone in the field?

 

They are too busy blaming mid level managers and marketing people to realize that the real problem may actually be in the field. Someone will wake up eventually and realize that 17% commission on annual CDN sales of approximately $120M.....$20,400,000....buys a bigger and better sales force. I think the millionaire distributors are safe for many, many years to come though...let's be honest, the folkert/williams/chrysanthou show is about the worst possible leadership team imaginable....they will fire a lot more corporate people before the figure out what to do with the field sales team....

 

Well said, this is very close to the truth. I still work for this company and this much is true, Zimmer wants robots not business people. Too bad the managers calling the shots don't have a clue about orthopedics! Leadership at the senior level is so completely absent it is sad.

 

best guess is that the leadership will now take dead aim at the CDN distributors...heard they already removed one co-distributor in Canada....USA organization has recently fired leffring, titus, wilson/phillips. Day of reckoning is coming, what will all of these spoiled millionaires do when they get fired?????

 

Honestly, the Zimmer Canada senior management team is a huge joke. We all thought it would be better under the watch of Warsaw's golden boy Nate Folkert. Wrong, dead wrong! Nate's big move as the new GM was to designate Jamie Williams as his right hand man. The complete and utter stupidity of this mystifies us all. For the past decade Jamie was the worst possible GM of any medical device company in Canada, demoted twice in fourteen months, and he is selected as the best leader to assist the newbie Nate? Credit where credit is due, at least Nate was smart enough to avoid elevating Chrysanthou to the next level....Chrys is pure garbage, plain and simple.

 

Exactly! Worst management team in medical devices, not one of them can be trusted.
