Many pigment epethelial detachments (PED) are asymptomatic and do not require treatment. Some hide or harbor choroidal neovascular membranes and need VEGF (avastin or lucentis) injections. Medical thereapy such as you describe is rarely successful. JCH MD

Thanx Symptom is there she is suffering from blurred vision, doc suggested Angiography and laser approach in case medicine would not resolve it, is argon laser so promising or shall we directly think about avastin as you said? RGDS

... looks wavy with both eyes. I am seeing retinal specialist monthly since march 2013. I had one shot of avastin in left eye on 3/27/13 Recent appointment was on 5/2/13, my DR said no leak no shot. My Dr said treatment to my right eye is not going to help ...
