Polaris Partners Files for New $400 Million Fund

Boston based life science and tech VC, Polaris Partners has filed the paperwork for a new $400 million fund. The company has yet to raise money for the fund.

While Polaris has not commented on the business focus of the fund, the company invests in the life science and tech arenas. Polaris has invested in over 100 life science related companies and its porfolio includes; Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Alimera Sciences, Ironwood, Ocular Therapeutix, etc.

Polaris made more than $200 million in VC deals last year. The company has offices in Boston, New York and San Francisco.
