    Upper Midwest access is almost nonexistent. MN, IA, WI... The true “cost per physician contact” is well over $10,000 per rep. Multiply that number, by the number of pod members. I’m sure there are other areas in the nation with the same challenges, but adding reps is not the answer to the problem of access.

    Pods never made sense in oncology. Even with access, pods don’t make sense. An experienced, skilled Onc rep is worth his/her weight in gold because 2-3 overlays are unnecessary.
