who wants to the CIO (I mean IT Leader)?

Does Endo want a new IT lead? The current CIO gets a new job in the company but far from his current location, but he hasn't left to go do the job. The former CIO did such a great job there are no successors on the team. They say Endo is going to take some time and figure out what they want in a new CIO and then they decide not to do that. They hire a retained headhunter called ZRG Partners (WHO?). They want to hire a new CIO and then they decide the job isn't a CIO, but a Vice President of IT only. They change the requirements as the 'search' goes on and Endo wants to make sure they get someone from pharma, but not 'big pharma' (whatever that means; now that Endo is over $4B, we don't want someone who has done this before; and wouldn't saying the person needs to not be from big pharma make the search list go down to a very manageable sized candidate list?). When the criteria gets changed, ZRG Partners still brings in 'big pharma' candidates for some reason. It's been over six months and yet IT has still does not have a leader. Who wants to the the CIO (I mean IT leader) after this time has passed? Maybe the current CIO's test run in the new job will expire soon and he will 'return' (after never leaving) to lead (?) Endo IT once again. Whatever - the company is doing great, wish IT coudl do the same.

Absurd... prob is the current CIO will remain the puppetmaster and will certainly protect the Centocor South team. Amazing no internal consideration... $4B, no succession planning??

Look...i won't stand for such nonsense...to suggest we do not have a succession planning process...We absolutely do, but you apparently have not read it...it requires one of two things...you be a current or former employee of Centocor...or you are a personal and/or professional close friend of one of the hiring managers. -JM
P.S. Unless you are a friend of mine in which case I don't consider you a successor.

I hear Marc Kustoff who ran a number of IT organizations for small big Pharma companies is the new SVP/CIO.
He is a good guy and I would consider Endo lucky to have him.
