Why is Actavis expanding their sales force? What are the products. The recruiter stayed he could not give out any information regarding products for the new reps or the actual territory? Can someone give a straight answer as the website did not look that promising.

Visit Warner Chilcott website. Actavis bought Warner Chilcott. The salesforce for WC is twice the size of Actavis and all the WC reps are having first dibs at open positions. He doesn't know territory or products because they are all new WC divisions and products. Most WC reps with less than 2 years experience will be let go. If interested, look for the WC reps in your area, see how many have 2+ years experience and match them with open territory to gauge your chances. Actavis has to legally list every open position. Good luck.

Do you know if there will be any DM postings for this expansion? I have not seen any postings yet - just tons of rep. openings.

There looking to go cheap. I had a recruiter reach out to me. I have pharma & biotech experience. I explained that my last base (biotech)was low 90's. Recruiter told me that I'm out of range. I explained that my last pharma base was mid 70's, she told me that was too high as well.

There are a lot of WC reps wondering if they will get passed on due to their base alone..there are a lot of newbies with low based, but for the ones who have stuck it out for 3+ years, raises were given out twice a year and to the tune of 7-11% a pop. If you lasted 3+ years, you did so only cause your numbers were good.

I hope those performers saved some money, because as soon as the performance drops they will be eligible for a PIP and the 18 month slide out the door. Some things never change.

I told the recruiter I was looking for 65k minimum base and was told if hired I would get that with my experience but it was at the high end of what they'd be offering.

NO ONE SHOULD ACCEPT THESE LOUSY OFFERS!!!! Then what...

DO NOT ACCEPT THE FIRST OFFER AND HOLD OUT FOR AT LEAST 75-85 Based on Exp. They will either end up with an experienced, launch ready force or a bunch of newbies ready to give out candy and wear costumes. The choice could be theirs really.

    DON'T SELL YOURSELVES SHORT!

Let's see. Which is better, that unemployment check that is about to run out or $55K?
Actavis doesn't care if the recruiter makes a little less. They can find quality people all day long who can succeed willing to work for less. They don't need lunch deliverers anymore since they don't do lunch. In today's market, $75K is no longer realistic.

um hmm - did she also tell you that there is a real good chance you will be out on your ass after you miss your goal targets for one qtr? This place is run by exceed your goals, scripts from day one and anything less is not acceptable - period, management style. Problem is the products have played out there growth patterns...can not get RX from old non covered products not gonna happen and neither are most of the poor bastards that took a job here thinking it was a good move...
