This is exactly why I only make one or two calls a day at most(pre-covid of course). I have to protect my body from getting beaten up. I just add a few extra miles in daily that I plan to do on the weekends.

What are cars needed for?? Who is going to the field and what office wants us there without proof of vaccination? Duh!

Novartis is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to cars VS other companies.

It be what it be. Welcome to he'll (Novartis)!

If I get a lousy car I will become demotivated and make fewer calls. Since we won't really be doing any field stuff until after the fall I guess it won't make a difference. By then the job market will be better so I'll have to look around.

Gtfoh what other company is giving bottom level reps a choice of a tesla. You sound like someone who is ignorant enough to work for a company that offers better car choices.

I don't care what car I get. I only use it to go shopping, drive the kids around and personal use. No business miles in a ling time. Free free free!!!!!

Wait until your manager calls offices and verifies if you have been or even better pulls gas receipts/time and compares to what fake calls you entered into the system. Happened to a friend of mine a few years ago.

Many offices have a no-see policy right now.

"By then the job market will be better" BAHAHAHAHA!!!
Get a clue, this industry is done. By the fall, pharma will be so far up the ass of digital and virtual detailing as well as contract and inside sales reps, the days of the "6 figure part-time snack delivery rep" will be over.
Oh and by the way, wait until you have to go out and get a car on your own and realize how much you'll pay for gas and insurance alone.

Currently driving a Chevy traverse, curious to see what the car option will be for next year

This didn't age well. The majority of "my" docs see reps on a walk-in basis. The rest, I call and schedule an appointment. No doc buys his staff lunch, hahaha. To cheap to treat his staff well. You know why docs don't dress better??? Because drug reps don't buy them sports coats.
