CSL culture?

The “CSL Culture” has definitely deteriorated.

We have a Senior Leader in I&T who has no more business being in CSL than driving a Truck or digging a Ditch, one who is as UnCultured as they come.

And, this is the kind of
cro-magnon we hire for a Leadership role?

How do we attract top talent when we have this situation? What message does that convey?

    Prior poster...

If the first name is Steven, and last name Harvey, how HR has turned a Blind Eye to that man’s demeaning Behavior to all has many across the Globe scratching our heads!

Harassment, Bullying and Vulgarity has zero place at CSL or for that matter, anywhere else in Industry!!!

No matter who you’re talking about there - kovaleski, kulp, capritti, dollar bill and his lackeys, and on and on, they’re all just assholes through and through. Stay away because it ain’t never changing.

Here's the issue. We are selling rate disease products yet we are focusing our sales model on traditional pharma model. We spend more time checking the boxes rather than just doing business. Leadership says to think outside the box, push ourselves then weighs us down with administration so it's easier to try to monitor the activities. Plus we talk about patient focus, yet give us little resources to actually help the doctors to help the patients. People get into a territory with a KOL they do well, those without struggle to find the patients. I'm not sure other companies are any better. The whole industry has changed.

We have a lot of management issues...but...S. Harvey is an egotistical, whining, simple minded, foul mouthed, Napoleon Syndrome, wannabe Exec with no more business managing a team than shining shoes!!!

    DUMPSTER FIRE

There was a time after I got hired that it seemed like communication between departments was getting better, and everyone was a little optimistic. Then E2E happened, and the entire company went in the toilet. It’s hard to overstate how damaging E2E was to the company and its culture. Also, I’m fucking sick of them constantly changing how everything works and is organized around here

Amazing that nothing seems to have changed in four years. Same shit, different day. Too bad. Good products with an outdated business model. Buffoons in charge. Use the place for the training ground that it is and then move on to a real company.

How good are the R&D, Clinical and Regulatory Groups? Worth a stay for couple of years?

So how is the ‘talent’ here? I’m debating an offer and also negotiating a final deal. Would love to know the ‘quality’ of the employees here? Any hotties? Maybe lonely/single moms? Let’s be honest….it’s half the fun of being in pharma sales.

Culture is driven by the leader. In the case of NA Commercial Operations, the head, while bright, is an awful leader causing a caustic and divisive culture. He trusts and appreciates nobody, rarely giving positive recognition and when he does, it is always followed up with a list of things you could have done better. Absolutely nobody meets his expectations as he is perfect at everything. He trusts that nobody works as hard as he does and can not wait for everyone to get back to KOP so he can patrol the hallways to see who is at their desks. His leadership team, constantly maneuvering to avoid his wrath, will spend hours and days manipulating stories and slide decks so they can serve up something palatable even if far from the truth. I am so excited to return to play more of the game while keeping my head low and out of the line of fire. Can’t wait to hear about the basketball picture again.

Flawed is the understatement of the year. More like severely damaged and egocentric. He takes pleasure in cutting people down. The way he openly speaks about people is unprofessional and the HR Director and COE winner this year should be coaching him on his cavalier behavior. In his mind, I think he believes we will work harder and his past “did I do my best” mantra was trash. No, I set out to do mediocre work everyday….please. I have more self respect than that. But the constant brow beating certainly does not encourage me to do better, nor anyone else for that matter. My guess is his boss beats the tar out of him daily then he just pushes the crap downhill. Then there are the NALT members who simply don’t know how to filter his demands appropriately and instead create internal frenzies. Many good people have left CSL in the past two years and it is largely due to the toxic environment he has fostered. And interestingly, despite the caliber of the folks who have vacated, his very first response is to minimize them and say “this gives us a chance to upgrade”. Pathetic leadership.

MY FAVORITE is him telling everyone that he wasn’t good enough for the team! How many times have you told anyone and bragged about not getting a job or NOT being picked up for the team! He is a real cuckold.
