I am at 15 yrs and hoping for a bridge based on age plus years, not to proud to say that I want my British pension.

RSDs and corporate with 20 plus sitting pretty. Long live the Queen.

Surely she will be tapped to run the consumer company after the split. That’s the only hope for GSK’s Rx business.

No one wants to be stuck in Consumer. GSK is spinning that off to grab cash and unload debt. No one knows this better than her. Why would you want to head something you know is being set up and is doomed for failure? Executives in CH are fleeing the company left and right because they all know this as well.

You can’t let the person splitting the cookie also choose which part they get first. If both eventual companies were being set up for success, it shouldn’t matter to Emma which one she helms, right? If anything, based on her background, she should run consumer. Who better to put lipstick on that pig?

Infinitely better qualified to run a consumer products business.

Can’t help but think of the irony of watching a Chinese rocket fall uncontrollably to Earth and GSK.

Yes. Many of us remember the Mark Reilly scandal along with the sex tapes sent to the board of GSK. Their huge launch in China sounds like this debris hurtling to earth.

I would think their due diligence revealed what a nightmare situation is developing and are using that as the impetus for getting involved. Activist investors don't swoop in to change well-oiled machines; they swoop in on operations that aren't running on all cylinders.

Interesting note: the word "cleave" means to take apart and also to stick together. Built-in opposite meanings.

Look around. People are leaving the company at all levels and in all departments of the organization. The ones who remain openly admit it is for pension benefits. So the talented leave and the resentful remain. And the culture continues no matter how you cleave it.

You limey wankers get nice British pensions and we in the US have to deal with all the pressure to rip our people off with exorbitant prices. The Queen is Dead.

Maybe you should vote for Democrats. They actually care about workers and people. The British a lot more clever than you. They vote their best interests.

Yes they do, except illegals at border in cages, Israeli children bring murdered by terrorists they funded, families struggling to afford anything because of the hyperinflation, and those scrambling to find gas - otherwise they are very self serving

Hey crumpet stuffers, guess what? We did and got rid of the orange menace. You tossers are so clever you have Boris Johnson and his populist, pro-Brexit government running the show. How’s that working out for you interests?
