Cynical but wait, it's reality. Well said.

similar story here, ditto on demgraphics. Never below standards rating, 24 years tenure. Pushed out by not meeting basic competencies..purely subjective & demoralizing tactics....took the package instead of pursuing legal recourse due to risk and time..
Making better money now with another company. Not bad for an incompetent rep.

These people have no souls to treat others in such a manner.

Great point: No soul. I contend that people don't even care. Not one bit. Christian, or whatever they really don't give a crap in the good 'ol USA.

What I've learned, retired at 65 from a BIG 'OL PHARMA education. My advanced degree never taught me this but the corporate world did, the hard, soulless way.

Guess what people, people of whatever race, color and creed will ACT the SAME ways regarding 'who comes in and who goes out' if they have control, weak ethics, poor moral character and/or a hidden agenda. This is not a racial comment at all - its about the human condition and it's inherent nature. Who gets the big money and who does not. It is a JOKE to think that there is EQUITY in this life. That is not the way the human condition works. I see minorities or females in CEO positions (e.g. K. Frazier, retired from MRK, K. Lynch, CVS, etc.) paid the same or more than white male predecessors. I see targeting and immoral, unethical behavior with minorities or females, just like the whites who have had control. And importantly, I see white males still in control that talk a good political game to KEEP control, power and wealth in this current environment. It's a BAD, SAD JOKE, Equality is. It's really about who's in control? Who's got the power? Most in life are simply salmon moving up the river and some make it but most do not make it all the way. Some just want to hold out along the stream and they die. etc. But the truth is it's not a game of equity and fairness, of high morals and integrity. It's all about political savvy, muscle, allies, knowing your enemies, not making a fatal flaw, pushing the right buttons at the right time most the time and being a moving target if you choose to stay in one organization. I am thankful I made it for 33 years. Many do not. Some make it 40 years but rarely with one organization. So, good luck and know the human condition is the antithesis of what say, Jesus spoke about Compassion. To actually forgive, to heal, to comfort, to be a brother or sister's keeper to teach people how to stand. That ain't happening to any degree where the compassion one would and could actually "lose" at that company. True acts of altruism are very rare in the "animal world" we're a part. Homo Sapiens, alpha earth animal, wowzah.

Anyone notice the damage control that JNJ is doing for Mathai Mammen? He appears on TWITTER and LinkedIn as the one responsible for the vaccine development. Meanwhile, there is a lawsuit that alleges #metoo actions. Sad.

Too funny, I thought the same thing. Been on LinkedIn for years and never saw anything with his name on it, then suddenly the last week it’s almost everyday.

Anyone else watching how the company is promoting the guy Mathai Mammen at Homepage ... I'm sure they know he is named for allegedly sexually harassing Gina...do they do this to distract? Nothing like an implosion when more women come out of the shadows to complain. I'm not sure I want to align and believe anything coming from the mouth of a man who would do that to a woman (if he really did).

"In early 2018, Bilotti also began reporting to newly appointed Global Head of R&D Mathai Mammen. The suit alleges Mammen “manipulated” Bilotti, relying on her wealth of company knowledge to adjust to his new position while possibly “grooming” her for a sexual relationship. After Mammen requested access to Bilotti’s personal Facebook page and learned she was gay, he minimized contact with her and excluded her from collaborations and meetings."

Gina isn't the only example...very strong indications that he has a current ongoing dalliance with his current Chief of Staff and Chief Data Science Officer (NK). He has little to no support from his leadership team, berates and demeans to demonstrate his superior intellect and aligns to a fault with NK in deference to his experienced team of senior leaders. Numerous complaints have been sent up the chain to no avail....credo seems missing.

Yes, well, if eventually multiple women step up with complaints/lawsuits, that’s an issue. If he’s just banging multiple women and they’re not complaining, the complaints are coming from those on his leadership team, that’s not a big deal. Those leaders will move on or he’ll replace them. Either way, in the short term nothing is going to happen to him while JNJ is touting him as the vaccine hero.

Have heard the same rumors. Mathai's favoritism toward Najat--who has a knack for self-promotion, half-baked and not much relevant experience--is hard to explain otherwise.

This is all well and good as this is CP> but actually boring as far as psychological thrillers go.

On the main subject person, I am for those that honestly.....honestly are mistreated in the workplace. Take whatever action you can. I firmly support you against the goliaths of corporate America. But that goes for anyone, no matter what they do here, look like, orientation, etc. That never should matter in pursuing justice.

But I don't think this type of issue has any place on CP. Why? as you rumor, insult and scream. It is a real, serious legal matter that should not be aired here. When the "victim" does such, it makes some of us suspicious as to motives, etc. If they need other forms of help, like therapy, support group, family or friends then I strongly encourage it. Again, I wish them well. Hoping it's supported by the facts and conditions.

As for expanding to other folks with speculation? Really. We do that every day of our corporate lives and don't have to type it on an anonymous site. There all types of animals in our corporate jungle that is ever changing. Boring topic. Deal with them or ignore them or get out or out of their way.

As a woman at the company who follows all the company news, I’m still shocked to see female members of the JNJ leadership family share content featuring a man who is subject to a lawsuit that focuses on almost sexual predation. As the head leader in HR I would expect that she would be briefed...even if is Mathai is innocent, please stand up for your fellow women and ask questions - where there is smoke there is always fire.

Let me explain this to you simply as follows:

    • Smoke sometimes isn't even smoke, let alone fire.
      • You have no clue as to the entire circumstance. This is no forum for such.
      • Smoke is sometimes only smoke as two adults both making mistakes is common.
    • People are free to take whatever professional political risk they have a tolerance to take.
      • Hence some people, in any department may act "neutral" until noted otherwise.
      • Wow, "even if XYZ person is innocent". How about innocent until proven guilty in a "court"?
      • The right to be wrong.
    • And this is not a women supporting women issue in my moral judgement.
      • As a male, I have supported women who reported to me who were being harassed for years.
        • I inherited it and immediately addressed it until resolution,
      • I can not imagine any just, moral minded man or woman, not defending a women or more importantly, anyone of less power, less resource and vulnerable to the dominant player. And today, that absolutely could be a women in power oppressing others improperly.
Human behavior has demonstrated to me on an almost daily basis, people do not know how to properly use power they possess or crave. It leads many of us, men and women alike, to make all kinds of moral err. We each are accountable for using our "power" with a moral, ethical and just mindset in every decision. That is not easy as our corporate executives personify many times a week.

"Global People Experience Organization" LOL, McKinsey probably came up with that one. Oh wait, they've been investigated for sleazy initiative to promote Purdue opioid addiction program.

Another 2 female VP departures announced today from R&D…seems our senior female leaders have had enough of Mathai & his BS. How many will it take for the our Credo driven organization to take action despite the pipeline continuing to flow?

He was just featured again under release of the MS results at FDA. Isn't the PR team female dominated? Why are they not pushing back until there is a clear understanding. Cuomo is being persecuted for less these days.

No updates but the wizard HR and PR teams at Janssen are still trying to build this guy up as a saint. Sad for all women who sit along side him at meetings knowing that there is an accusation - even if false - against him. Harvey Weinstein denied his allegations and the immediate people around him also made no comment. Guess this lawsuit will hit the Pharma books.

Nice. Appears his other female collaborators (NK) are getting air time on linkedin now too.
