Hearing patients are getting big bills for services performed over 1 year ago. What is going on?

I just got a bill from AIT for urine lab work done 10 months ago, at that time my insurance Blue Cross said no way were they paying 850 DOLLARS FOR THE TEST and I am not either when normal poct,s are under 200 dollars, I think my Doctor is in a kick back with AIT and will file a complaint with the Idaho BBB & Attorney General, an 850 bill 10 ,months after testing ? Get outta here !

It's illegal to not bill for testing. Someone has to pay the bill.

$850 for a test that costs AIT a max of $85! Good profit margin if you are not going down the crapper any way. Don't pay anything, make them waste stamps and phone bills.

Why are you posting this online?
Call AIT's billing office, tell them you can't afford $850 and ask if they'll reduce the bill.
    Then pay your damn bill.
    Bitch, bitch, bitch...

Call AIT to reduce the bill.

Next, file an official written complaint to the state board of medicine against the ordering provider who sent your sample to AIT labs.

Your provider will hear from the state board -- which is required to investigate the complaint. The complaint will go in the provider's file irrespective of the outcome of the investigation. Ouch.
