Has anyone attended the recent PD all staff? There were a TON of questions around people leaving and PD's inability to compete with external offers. The "total rewards" package is nice and all...but other companies are starting to outcompete it.
It's not that people are leaving as people always do, it's more so that mgmt doesn't really care because they can buy/replace talent on the whim.
Amgen doesn’t want to compete with external offers, they are focused on cutting costs vs innovation to compete (need to match costs to realities of disappointing pipeline).
they are several Years behind other big pharma and are still trying to cut their way to prosperity. Cut staff, cut budget, pad those quarterly numbers and then wonder will the drugs will come from to replace patent losses. Then they try to buy a pipeline and overpay for assets and mismanage them into the ground. Maybe in another five years, Wall Street will catch on - sell your RSUs before then.
